Wont a class action need to prove an actual loss beyond the cost of the ticket? Travel and hotels which were not affected by what happened at the game.
Can Uefa be held responsible for policing?
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
imagine they'd need to prove that UEFA knew that the policing would be inadequate, or worse, and planned to use the venue anyway. that seems difficult, you'd basically need to prove that the paris police are not up to the task of being police, which may be true but it seems like a very high burden in the courtroom.

Uefa approved the Police plans to treat the fans like ****e. I think that's one of the conclusions of the latest report to blame UEFA.
As for the stress and distress caused, I thought they could claim for that too? If it has to be a physical loss for a class action, I stand corrected.

It would be a civil case, so a lower burden of proof.
Not heard anything from LFC on this, but I think the Real statement sends a strong message to UEFA. I'd like to see both clubs in a coordinated effort to press UEFA for more and for change too.
If our fans hadn't been so restrained and appreciated what could have happened if they had kicked off, people would have died. The investigation has already conceded that.
Pleasant surprise this morning when I checked my credit card, saw an £838.64 refund from UEFA. Reason for the surprise was that UEFA obviously announced a refund for the tickets bought through the club but I got mine via the UEFA ballot but put in a refund request anyway which I'm glad I did now. Would definitely urge all other supporters who got tickets through the UEFA ballot to do so as well.

Who did you lodge refund request with?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
Although, did a quick search to see if there was a standard template people used when applying (like PPI) and looks like I missed the deadline, which was 7th April.

Not sure where else to put this:

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
FML, found guilty of mismanaging ticketing and entry, disproportionate use of force by police officers and now they are book ending that with fencing, WTF??
It is like they are using the SYP playbook from the late 80s.
