So so slow in everything we tried

Thought we lost all energy and rhythm after 25 mins… started to drop deeper, lost control of the game in places and panicked in others.

We’ve done that plenty of times in the later stages of this season and managed to scrape by… but not tonight. Poor finishing and a MoM display from Courtois saw us off

This Real team is a shadow of their great ones of the past, yet our supposed 'best ever' team containing 'the best player in the world' couldn't turn them over and finished the game looking clueless and out of ideas. The way our great teams and players of the past are blithely dismissed by some in favour of the current crop is laughable.

There’s truth there, definitely.

We conceded a simple goal and couldn’t turn possession into enough goal threat against a pretty meh CL opponent. Everyone knows it, in the league and in Europe, play deeper than you’ve ever played before and Liverpool struggle. City don’t. If teams come at us we are as good as anyone, but we need a solution. That was more winnable than we made it look unfortunately.

We won 2 trophies and took the other two right to the end.

No English team has ever had to play as many meaningful minutes before as far as I understand.

We are all sad at this moment in time but let's not forget the achievements of this season.

We were doing OK until the VAR decision. We seemed spooked after that as if the realization dawned on the players that Real could harm us.

Disappointed? This Real team is the worst CL finalists we have played against in my living memory. Even Spurs offered more press and fight.

For large parts of the game we just ambled around. Defensively we were ok but there was no urgency from the players I've just mentioned and forgot to include crab man Hendo

I'm with Kenneth on this, every shot was right at him. They defended very dee though which helped him out.

I think this Real Madrid team are very underrated too. Very solid team mentally and physically with great experience. Ancelotti is also probably the best manager of this generation too. Need to take this one on the chin, I'm confident we have the character to go again.

I think the message to the players was to start quick with lots of energy, and we did that, we invested our energy early and they walked around, and when it hadn’t paid off by half time we knew that it was going to be an uphill battle. Our inability to convert possession and good positions into quality shots did us, as in the league, and almost the two cups we won. No goals in three finals. What was the best front three in world football is looking a bit stale now, less so mane, but Bobby and salah
