We played the kids in both before the end. We won them by accident!Originally posted by Norbs View PostNeed to go back to binning the domestic cups too now that they've both been wonExperimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

Thought we played pretty well, particularly first half.
Two amazing saves from Courtois. Fine margins in these matches and we didn’t have enough, it’s been a great season, but feels like we need to strengthen to kick on.
Konate was brilliant.
Trent, other than one or two moments had a bad game. Trying to play Hollywood balls almost constantly and he looked ****ed chasing back. The goal was down to him not sending the danger behind him, a really easy finish given the status of the game. I’d have subbed him.
Go again next season but feels like we need reinforcements, particularly in midfield.Modifying post.

Yeah, they defended incredibly well. Agree with all of that.Originally posted by Zapater View PostI think this Real Madrid team are very underrated too. Very solid team mentally and physically with great experience. Ancelotti is also probably the best manager of this generation too. Need to take this one on the chin, I'm confident we have the character to go again.Modifying post.

Let's be microscopic about Robbo as well. Set pieces were dreadful. He's been poor in Eupore while the Greek hasn't.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThought we played pretty well, particularly first half.

No English team has ever had to play as many meaningful minutes before as far as I understand.
We are all sad at this moment in time but let's not forget the achievements of this season.

Fair enough. I thought Robbo defended ok, set pieces were well defended, attacking play - didn’t really get the ball in space. But I don’t think anyone played particularly badly.
On a bad day Robbo is just a solid full back. On a bad day Trent is sloppy.Modifying post.

Do not say anything derogatory against The Inspiration and Best Captain Of All Time ™.Originally posted by BigChief View PostDisappointed? This Real team is the worst CL finalists we have played against in my living memory. Even Spurs offered more press and fight.
For large parts of the game we just ambled around. Defensively we were ok but there was no urgency from the players I've just mentioned and forgot to include crab man Hendo

Dreadful, but they were always going to spawn a goal with the ref in their pocket. The main concern is we could have played for 200 minutes and not looked like scoring.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThe defending on the goal is abysmal.
Keita with his **** shot did it for me. Useless. One tit for another.
