They're feeding off scraps. I swear some of you on here have never stepped foot on a pitch the way you analyse games.

If the midfield is non existent and defense porous, the forwards have absolutely no chance.

Some of the passes coming at them from midfield and out wide are an absolute joke.

2020-21 we had a run of 12 pts from 14 league games including a load of defeats at Anfield but he was able to turn that around and get us 3rd place.

Obviously the midfield not controlling the game and not making alot of chances does affect things massively, but when they do get chances they are getting missed. We have missed alot of big chances this season. There was a stat in a couple of weeks ago on MOTD that listed Salah and Nunez as the two players who had missed the most big chances in the league, so I don't think it can just be put down to problems elsewhere, I don't think any area of the team is functioning as it should.

Thank god we have ex-pro Harv to explain why Nunez can’t beat a keeper from more than six yards out; it’s Thiago’s fault.

An LFC player has scored 1 goal in our last 5 PL games (Ox vs Brentford, we also got gifted 2 OGs to give us the win against Leicester). Given how many we have been leaking you may say it doesn't make a difference, but I think it helps the team out, if the forwards are scoring freely the defence does not worry so much if one mistake leads to a goal, if the defence is tight the forwards don't worry so much about missing a chance, when that isn't the case both defensive errors and missed chances are more costly and each puts more pressure on the other end.

Its so easy isn't it. Having to finish the one decent chance you get a game.

                  Get the ****.

Being a Liverpool number 9 isn’t supposed to be easy. But missing more changes than anyone else in the league isn’t part of the job.

“But we love him because he brings chaos”, as if more chaos is something we need right now. We need a clinical striker to start converting our period of dominance into goals and points and we can’t rely on him for that. At £65m and rising, he looks like a poor purchase so far. You being obnoxious doesn’t change that.

Halland looks **** until he is handed a gift wrapped opprtunity from a class midfield; the front 3 are living of scraps & when i say scraps i mean half chances in the main.

I will happen for Nunez & Gakpo when we ae better at defending & supplying them.

That said, cannot ****in wait until Diaz, bobby & Jota are back in contention hahaha

This ‘feeding off scraps’ thing is made up. Unless only one-on-ones with the keeper (which Nunez fluffed) count as proper ones. Inside the box, failing to find a yard to shoot is a falling of the striker, not the midfielder who gave them the ball. Hitting everything straight at the keeper is the fault of the attacker. The midfield scuffing shots on the edge of the box (eg Keita), snatching at chances and skying them (Salah yesterday), we are creating and we aren’t scoring. Most teams in the league don’t habitually rip teams apart for tap ins (like we did at our peak), but they score more of the chances they create. How many games over recent years have we dropped points to teams scoring their only chance? Loads.

21 shots to their 13, 2 on target to their 5, 7 corners to their 2, 60% possession; we dominated for at least half of the match. With decent finishing and defending, the pattern of the game could have been a one or two goal win but we have neither.

It's all inconsequential anyway. Shipping goals like we do we will not win games. When the players start to play for the shirt again we will be ok as there is quality in the side. The team need a 'lift' or a clear the air session or both. It's the only way they can reset and make a good fist of the upcoming games.

As for all the redbird chat, I don't buy it. Klopp spoke of 'fresh money' and VVD also spoke glowingly about takeover news. It wouldn't surprise me if we are just seeing leaks to force movement in negotiations. Or maybe thats what I hope...

Jesus, there's still 18 games to go! This is going to feel like a bloody long season.
