We simply cannot rely on several players in our squad to stay fit and we are paying the price for not sorting that.

Nunez ****ed us but we were off again tonight even if we had a few good chances.

We’ll be fine. We do things our way.

Finding a way to get one of the world’s best players into games would be useful. Salah has looked a bit stranded on the right for about six months now and either his personal form has dropped off a cliff and it’s tough luck and/or we are not making the most of his ability.

We will be fine but I didn't think we would be winning the league this year anyways. I did however expect us to get 6 points from our first 2 games. Disaster start let's be honest.

Yeah, has to be a way to get both Salah and Diaz more invoved. If Bobby is on his game, Diaz, Firmino, Salah is an excellent front three. Needs Bobby dropping deep and creating space in behind.

We played crap first game vs Fulham (I think we were undercooked that game and must have had tough sessions prior. But tonight we were excellent with and without the ball. Lacked a bit of edge upfront but that’s ok. Battered Palace with 10 men. Am not at all concerned. Relax.

It is, and then Nunez is the "Origi with a footballing brain" that we needed to add a bit of physicality when the intricate stuff isn't working. And with Jota in the mix too we're doing fine up top.

We've not lost despite a bit of a mini injury-crisis to start the season (Matip, Konate, Thiago, Keita and Jota all out today, plus Gomez not fit enough to start - all those slating Phillips need to realise the alternative was Van Den Berg). Going away to a newly promoted team is always tough on the opening day, and the red card ****ed us today. We'll be fine this season, frustrating as it is.

He should be able to get himself involved and make meaningful contributions, otherwise what was the point of giving him the mega contract he was holding out for, for a player that we supposedly couldn't do without? He still gets plenty of possession.

Of the Diaz goal variety, yes.

That’s what he meant in his post match interview when he was talking about having ‘a witch in the building with all the injuries this week’ - its why Hendo and Gomez didn’t start but were on the bench.

Injuries are piling up but just for us, doesn’t seem to be affecting many other teams to the extent we have them.

My concern is Thiago is ‘more than six weeks’, Naby and Diogo will have one game back and be injured for the next seven, Matip and Gomez will be available/out most of the season due to recurring injuries and Ox might as well carry the water bottles.

We have a thin squad with a fair amount of inexperience once the injuries kick in. Salah post-mega contract has been underwhelming too. I hope to god Nunes sees this as a ****ing big wake up call and comes back firing on all cylinders.

It's not a great start to the season, no wins from the first 2 games, both of which should have been winnable. We put in a decent performance today but something doesn't look/feel right with this side to me, we are a midfielder short for one, but the forward line too seems to be lacking something. Obviously Nunez is still setting in, and people might disagree with this but IMO so is Diaz, Salah looks out of sorts and Jota is injured. To be honest there isn't much of a goal threat beyond that. we have created alot of chances but aren't anywhere near clinical enough in front of goal.

There is a long way to go in the season and everything is still possible, but we have made things unnecessarily difficult for ourselves.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
