We lose our first league game of the calendar year and the forum is as busy as it’s been in years
It’s a bad start to the season. We do look light given the injuries. And disorganised for the same reason. But this is football. We’ve been spoiled now we have to dig a bit deeper.
I can’t believe Klopp wants to be starting Henderson and Milner in any games, let alone away at OT.
We faced them at the worst time ever, they absolutely had to react after getting pumped by Brentford, they have £bn squad. I feel that Klopps comments yesterday were as close to a plea for funds as he’s ever given. FSG have milked this squad and manager dry. It now needs more backing.
I'm ****ing worn out with life and watching us is a stressful but mostly enjoyable experience but this has been so poor so far. I'm off to bed.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

Onwards and upwards.
Or not depending on your disposition.
I love your optimism Buzzo - I’ll get over it by tomorrow and am glad to be this side of the world now. We have been spoilt and we are probably being a big entitled
It’s the last part that needs changing - the players and managed are being squeezed for the last drop….. new signings lift everyone including the players in the squad

Fabinho wasn’t 100% I’m sure and we’re still managing players time (Robbo went off at end of games) and still building fitness.
Not at all concerned with what’s happening now. We’re just not at our best and I’d be worried if we were at this point.

Lots of negativity in here and still 3 games in.
We have two points from nine, we have an injury crisis, a 36 year old is starting games, and our new striker got sent off for violent conduct. Everything is fine.
This is what we are doing, rebuilding with young players. Nunez, Carvalho, Elliot. At some point we’ll be in transition and maybe it’s this year. There’s no drama really. The cornerstone of this team is still here.
Also, I’ve felt this year (and I think I’ve seen Klopp mention this) that we’ve extended pre season well into the season, and injuries didn’t help. So we’re still playing catch up on that side, not starting games well then coming back.
The issue is the midfield. The likes of jones and Elliott are still very young and developing but the lads they need to replace are fading fast.
With respect to both neither look ready for a sixty game season. There’s nothing in the 24-28 bracket who in theory should be replacing the likes of Henderson Milner and possibly even Fabinho who’s been terrible for months. Keita and ox are finished and klopp doesn’t play them even when they’re fit.
We just haven’t done enough succession planning in this dept.

I’m not feeling massively optimistic, but I don’t think things are as grim as all that. A fully fit squad gets a result tonight.
It just needs recognised that we never have a fully fit squad.
I think a few are coasting on reputation and ego. It needs hard work and fight.

I think we are doing succession planning but investing in young players and giving them a chance. Elliot was excellent tonight and he’s going to be some player. Carvalho as well. They won’t play all the games for sure but that’s why we have a squad. It’s unfortunate we have lots of injuries but then maybe not seeing how intense is our game.

I don’t care if we have 2 points as it’s only 3 games. Nunez will be back in 2 games. If you prefer to see the glass half empty then fair enough.

I’m not suggesting anything improper, but I wonder if things would have been done differently if Klopp had known earlier that he was going to extend his contract.
