Millie was meant to be the guy to come on for the last 10 minutes, to shore it up and make those tactical fouls... keep it neat and tidy.

An emergency starter. I guess we are in an emergency situation. Last thing we need is to lose him to injury and have zero backup across the dozen positions he can cover from the bench. Anyone his age is going to start to strughle at this level for 90 minutes, let alone playing the high intensity game we play.

You can see he cant turn and run very quickly now. His feet cant match his speed of thought.

I think he has been pretty level headed. Apart from Diaz, is the only player who hasnt looked poor this season. Id say move him to Bobbys position at the earliest opportunity.

        Im still absolutely fuming btw.

I don't usually dwell on results too much, but these performances have been so bad.

It's only three games in but you must be blind to not see we have some tough times ahead until injuries subside... Last night was the worst time to play a brow-beaten United and Ten Hag finally realised that Maguire is **** and the team play more like a team without Ronaldo. Every one of those players had something to prove and wanted it more.

Our challenge now is to pick ourselves up and go again. With the first team and bench we have, that's not going to be easy. As others have said - defence is like a leaky bucket, midfield is completely ineffective and we're toothless up front. Everyone's form has tanked at the same time. It's like a virus that goes through the whole team...

We don't know the state of Fab's fitness and why he was on the bench, but assuming Klopp's being cautious with him. Elliott, Diaz and Carvahlo had energy at least... really poor game from Henderson, Milner, VVD, Trent, Robbo, Gomez and Bobby. Salah wasn't much better but he sneaked in with a consolation. Teams know how to isolate him now and we have no response.

We desperately need some cohesion - Thiago, Keita, Ox are all made of biscuits, Jones is a squad player, Jota and Konate are decent options but still injured since the start of the season...Nunez is sidelined. We will undoubtedly hit some form or a purple patch in a few games time... maybe in the run up to the World Cup and then that'll **** up our momentum again.

I hate the way the media are just all about 'they miss Mane, he's a huge loss'... it's certainly a part of the issue, but injuries and suspensions contribute more. The players look burnt out from last season. No idea where the Citeh Charity Shield performance came from, as it's an outlier now not the norm - against Fulham, Palace and now United we've looked slow, lacking ideas and can't make more than three passes without someone hitting it out of play or trying a hopeful one over the top. Trent and Robbo have been well off it since the run in last season... and that's all our creativity done with Thiago out as well.

Last night we kept going down the channels and every time a United block or tackle would come flying in. They were swarming around us and knew that was our only outlet. We don't have anyone who can hit a 30 yarder consistently well... it's stand Z like Mo's volley, an air shot like Bobby or a scuff like Hendo and Trent. In training we look like the Galacticos... in reality we look more like Wimbledon 1988.

Some tough conversations and reflections needed by Jurgen and Pep with the first team over the next few days. If we start slow again against Bournemouth we'll be on the back foot for the 8th game in a row... what the actual **** is that all about? We never make things easy but it's a huge oversight to not bring in a midfielder earlier this summer. Too late now and the points are dropping, the gap is growing.

No idea how they fix this, but they need to.

I'm more worried that the players already look jaded. Trent in particular looks ****ed, not great when he's supposed to be the fulcrum of our attack

The defense is **** because the midfield is ****. Offering zero protection. Then the midfield is offering nothing attacking wise either.

That said, their 2 goals last night were both preventable. Trent strolling around like he was in the Aldi special aisle on a Thursday and Virgil looking like he was just about to belt out Wonderwall. The gizz fest about Sancho on sky last night gave him far too much credit. Second goal then was a result of Henderson with his half arsed leg out passing the ****in ball to them. ****ing not good enough.

And bobby, diaz and mo didnt exactly put them under too much pressure either ffs. Bobby especially with that stupid ****in loop pass attempt when we first got to their box. That is **** to be doing when you are 3.or 4 goals to the good ffs. Hendersons shot attempt on 28' from the edge of the box sums him up as well. ****in useless and his shouts to himself afterwards are ****in embarrassing too. We'd all have been more surprised if he worked the keeper ffs. Its a pity nunez wasn't available because he would have occupied them differently.

I still think we can turn it around though. Bournemouth at the weekend will hopefully be a good game for the team to get some form of redemption and get our season going. We then play Newcastle at home next Wednesday which will be a tough game again without darwin but if we can we those 2 games, we then play everton away.

Not as confident as you are, I don't know who plays in the Bournemouth midfield, but I know they are better than Milner and Henderson.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I think we are a jaded team full stop, mentally and physically. It sounds absurd, and it might be absurd, but you look at Arsenal - on the up, vibrant, young and full of energy - and they look a better bet for 2nd or 3rd than us at the minute.

To be honest though, they haven't played anyone of note. So yes, they have had a good season so far but it is just 3 games ffs.

Their advantage will be the fact that they can treat the europa as a second string competition and not get ****. We are ****ed if the champions league group games are tricky and we don't have players back by then

Know what you mean but look at Man U for how quickly it can change. We need to respond in the same way they just did.

But Utd were **** last night! It's just we were worse. They pressed us really well for the first 15 - 20 minutes and then the second goal was our mistake and a counter attack. They never looked like scoring again after the first one but aside from the second quarter, neither did we. We looked lost and slow and ****ed and they were there for the taking by any team with some creativity and energy. They're going to get beaten plenty this season.

To be fair, the United turnaround was only half as good as the pundits were dribbling-on about last night. We made up the other 50% by being absolute dogturd and passing like 7 year olds with a 99p footy from the garage...

Yeah I don't think they're 'back' by any means either. They played like a small team and won't be able to get away with that dross every week.
