Klopp has just confirmed that Nunez had treatment at half time and Thiago was stretching. So fair play.

He was good right up to the - I’d say 70th minute when ideally he’d be getting subbed.

I think he was quite wasteful in possession overall tbh. Not bad enough to slate him, but enough that played well sits a bit funny.

It doesn't put the other midfielders that were on the pitch at the time in a good light when Old Man Milner needs to be subbed on to steady the ship and lead us to victory.

Thought it was a bit weird how we tried to immediately counterattack once we got the ball back in the second half, seemed to be crying out for a bit of possession. Good three points though!

In midfield I thought apart from Thiago who was decent both Henderson and Fabinho really struggled.

Well, if they were precautions I'll retract everything about the subs. Well played

Subs are us using our squad as we are in a period of playing a couple of games a week every week for a couple of months, withe the injuries we have we need to rotate and manage everyone's minutes.

This period just has to be about getting results and hopefully avoiding injuries, good performances would be nice but the need to rotate is likely to mean we have somewhat disjointed performances like we saw in the second half.

There are still some issues in the side that need to be resolved TAA is being targeted and they did get in that side a couple of times, also Gomez had some dodgy moments well below the level he was at at the weekend, again I suspect if we had any other CB's fit he probably wouldn't be playing 90mins twice a week.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah, a few steps back for Gomez tonight a bit of a reality check. But over the last week he had done well. 2 games, 2 clean sheets.

thought Gomez was a bit wobbly, especially after he gave away the pen.

TAA is getting massivley targeted now, but i thought when Elliott came on he really supported him well on that side of the pitch.

Still prefer Mo up top, but how do all the pieces fit?

Nunez from the left ?? i thought his energy & enthusiasm were top notch last night

Trent also. Faultless first half and our best player 2nd until that blip towards the end.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
