They threw the lot at us first half. Rode our luck a bit but ultimately blew them away.

Yeah, an excellent result. How we didn’t concede first tonight I’m not sure, and I suspect it would have been a very different game if we had, but we played our way into the game gradually. Scored and then were very comfortable. Need to get on top of the poor starts because when we grow in confidence we create chances. Qualification should help build that confidence and remove some of the pressure that the players must be feeling.

Yeah we were very disjointed for large parts of the first half. Just could not get out.

I reckon in that season where we waltzed the league it was all massively positive, because we were playing fantastic football. When we are rubbish it needs to be said. For example, in that first half we were generally woeful and why should we not say it? No one is moaning in the second half are they? And there has been lots of praise for the goals and the assists.

No, no-one said **** all in the second half. Which is precisely my point

First half, we weren't great against a team that played very well. Rubbish? I don't know about that. We can't always play like Ajax 95

I concede. Perhaps its me. Perhaps we are absolutely **** all of the time except when we fluke a good passage of play or score a totally undeserved goal
