That's the worst thing. Over worked, and out fought. We've went from all out action to limp in a few months. We're a soft touch.Originally posted by BootRoom View PostWe look old and brittle, and unable to physically compete with teams. Plus good chances are not being taken, which is only adding to our vulnerability.

Style of performance is lacklustre and slow. We are being out run, out fought and out hustled in every game. They take their chances, we need ten to convert one.
Season will be painful until the last day and I’m not convinced Klopp nor FSG can fix it now. Too late in the day to resurrect this ailing squad.

This is a full on crisis right now - the service to the forwards was shocking. Elliott can’t start games, way too lightweight. I was a huge Jones fan but now he looks hopeless….. Trent needs to cut his ****ing hair and Gomez needs a shave - both of them shocking.
It’s as bad as the Rodgers era - football by numbers, no patterns of play or idea how to progress the ball. Get it to Thiago and hope….. Fab is fallen off a cliff as well. We look slow, weak and ponderous on the ball - the polar opposite of a Klopp side
VVD up top and lump the ball to him……. What chapter was that in Ljinders’ book? I’m as entitled as **** for having been spoilt for so long - I don’t want to go back to also rans

I think fatigue is an issue, but also players aren't at the same level or putting the same effort in that they did before. There are alot of individual errors but the system doesn't work. For me it's largely down to the midfield. We are too easy to play through, they aren't protecting the backline or creating chances for the forwards. Alot of the time this season they have been anonymous.
WTF has happened to Fabinho? He has been shocking all season, he looks slow, gets knocked off they ball and run past a **** load, he seems to be playing further, he has been getting caught ahead of the ball alot when we lose possession. Elliott is a decent attacking player, but his lack of experience and tactical awareness mean defensively he's not doing enough in alot of games (he was great against City). Thiago has been our best midfielder but obviously injury problems. Henderson is the one who seems to hold the midfield together but again he isn't at the level he was a few years ago.
Not saying there aren't problems elsewhere in the side Gomez and TAA have obviously made mistakes this year but a proper midfield improves things massively. Personally I don't see things improving without new players or a change of system. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
