    Fingers crossed.

Reminds me quite a bit of Sterling or Shaun Wright-Phillips at times albeit he is a bit younger than either were when they started getting the odd game for us and City respectively.

Similar low centre of gravity, similar burst of acceleration that gains him a few yards on a defender rather than having blistering (though still quick) overall pace, similar deceptive upper body strength that allows him to turn away from a marker and that same angry toddler style of sprinting.

I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He looks like one too TBF.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yeah but can he shoot top bins from 18yards out ?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He's miles away from being a regular starter and if we want to be challenging for champs league spots or more , Doak imo is not yet at the level we need in our squad players who are vital over the course of a season. We are still short 2 or 3 quality players imo.

Definitely looks like he's got 'it'.

Should be on the bench and coming on for Salah if /when we've tied a game up.

He has the decision making of Jermaine Pennent right now. I think a quality loan spell would do him the world of good.

Yeah... He ran past a couple of players in a preseason game... Its been how long since Owen and Fowler broke through... so we are all a bit desperate by now... but lets give him a chance without too much expectation.

Players get written off. Jones as a good example. Elliott is another. Both are way ahead of him at this point, and are still improving.

I do think a loan would be good for him though.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Well, they should be - they are 3-4 years older than Doak.

Do you mean short legs? He looks like he's running in treacle.
I mean, perhaps no big problem given Waddle always looked ****ed.

I knew there was something odd about it.

Actually I think the injury was a recurring groin issue now I think about it.
As I recall Gerrard had repetitive back problems when he was coming through - I imagine because he was quite lanky. After that he had adductor problems. No sports scientist - me, but I gather both are to do with core strength. Once he filled out a bit (and got that core strength) his issues were resolved. Not sure about the teeth thing. Wisdom teeth can have weird impacts (no pun intended) but I'm not sure adductor injuries would be one of them.

What none of that explains is the brain injury that caused him to manage in Saudi...

Just watch him the next time he spins away from a player and heads into open space.

The way the back is kept straight as he accelerates, the way the arms are pumping and especially the look on his face. It cracks me up every time.

Then if someone tackles him I am all "Oh leave him alone" a la Shaun Of The Dead because it looks like a grown man has just tackled a small child.
