We are not and today was been dog **** in comparison to what weve gotten used to over the past years…..Originally posted by danperkins View PostWe ain't getting top 4
But
It’s progress:
- Trent didn’t start, we’ve all been shouting for that
- Fab and Hendo didn’t start, as above
- Matip dropped, as above
- Elliott wasnt in midfield
- They didn’t have countless free runs through midfield onto our defence
I’ll counter that by saying Chelsea are also ****

I said thatOriginally posted by Fredo View PostSays Bendy who said Arsenal could be relegated beginning of last season.
19 games to go and I’ve seen worse during the Hodgson years. Will be difficult but I ain’t writing off this team yet.
Been much more organised lately so this is a start. We just lack confidence with the ball and things aren’t coming out for us.
I sound like a Tory mp

Come off it, he wasn’t.
Had a dodgy spell in the first half when he had trouble dealing with Havertz but that stopped after he sussed him out. As ever, you are blowing everything out of proportion. Are we winning?

Not to mention his "clearances". Weak headers that went straight to Chavs or when he just toe pokes at tackles that then ping pong around the box. There was one in the 2nd half that went straight to Gallagher on the edge of the box. Horrible defending. He's scared of contact too, Havertz (who's a literal skeleton) ragged dolled him all game, he's an absolute pussy. He also put Ali under unnecessary pressure with dumb back passes a few times too.Originally posted by danperkins View Post

Probably more to do with Elliott you’re right. But I thought at least with Keita you get proper midfield positions for him.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

I think in reality we needed to win that at home vs an average Chelsea side. To me it seemed we were more focused on not losing than winning.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostWe are not and today was been dog **** in comparison to what weve gotten used to over the past years…..

- Trent and Hendo were apparently injured or coming back from injury so who knows if they would have started if fully fit.
- Matip although not at his best is composed and good on the ball.
- Elliot played at right wing and had a great game vs Wolves, so we play him left wing and then right mid. I don't think he's as good as many think either but I do recognize it's early days and it'd not doing him any favours by moving him around or playing him in areas where he struggles.
- The midfield was more compact out of possession but definitely woeful in possession. We are so desperate to get certain players out we'll take any other players to shake it up. It's good certain players didn't start but we just don't have the personnel in midfield in the current squad.
I just watch in hope these days.

I find it impossible that everyone didn't see exactly this today.

Keita wasn't great & indeed a bit slopy with his passing, but we are so much better when he is on the pitch compared to any other current options.Originally posted by danperkins View Post
this is true, at least it is his position and you are technically correct, we were worse when he came off.
Disappointed he got subbed, as i thought Harvey needed the rest instead

This is a valid point. Again, others have to be flexible to accommodate salah having another hugely disappointing game.Originally posted by DanElliot played at right wing and had a great game vs Wolves, so we play him left wing and then right mid.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years
