We created some good chances, especially when Elliott was on the pitch - but we don't look like finishing them. As soon as we are attacked, the defence creaks - although I thought Konate battled well. But that midfield...Thiago kept giving it away - as did Keita and Bajcetic, to be fair. No cohesion or patterns of play. Hard to watch.

Brilliant finish to be fair. Looks like another player Brighton will have to fight to keep hold of.
      Modifying post.

Two years ago we used to laugh at teams coming at us like Brighton have, it was suicidal. We’d go from back to front in the blink of eye.

Just have question marks over too many of our players. TAA, Gomez, VVD isn't where he was, Konate looks promising most of a game but has a moment of madness in him. The midfield has been done to death, and most players are lacking. Salah's form fell off a cliff, Gakpo has shown little, Nunez has been a threat but his finishing is lacking.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

And Trent's face when he was subbed...NOT happy.

just too many things going wrong at the same time. We are doing nothing this season but fear not we are getting Bellingham next season

Painful listening to Robbo talk, same as listening to Jurgen talk. We are cooked.

I just don't think that we have the time or the money to get a load of new players up to the level of intensity that Klopp's system demands. The older players are very unlikely to get themselves there again. They're burnt out essentially. I think it's over.

                          Yip.

I thought that Henderson would morph into the new. Milner and that Fabinho would get another 2 seasons or so. But they haven't.

We can talk about ANY player in the squad from 2 seasons ago and not one is as good as back then.

At least we can concentrate on top four in the league and winning the CL now with no domestic cup distractions.........................

I do too. We can get results and stay in the top six or so, but title challenges are gone unless something significant changes in our spending power and/or style of football.
