He's already shoving him before he even jumps though. Doesn't take much to put you off balance."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

It's a foul in the box, whether he would have scored or not is irrelevant.Originally posted by Harv View PostThere was that one and on one of their goals, Rodrigo looked well offside in the buildup but didnt see any lines drawn. Got shown for about 2 seconds and then straight off the screen and that geriatric **** Tyler mumbling something about it being fine.
Think they haven't given that because he was never scoring it anyway plus its Madrid..

What im most pissed off about is not one of our lot put a ****ing tackle in on them. Good old fashioned reducers on Vini, Rodrygo, Modric et al.
Just let them all go about their business instead. Valverde is Uruguayan ffs. Stomp him, he'll get wound up and retaliate and then be a walking red card."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Most obvious example if when Ramos broke Salah's shoulder in the Cup Final.
Someone should have reduced Ronaldo, Kroos or Modric to dust during that game

We were set up in a straight line, there was no-one to block the exact ball that was played. A really poor defensive set.Originally posted by Harv View PostWe're zonal aren't we, not sure he's supposed to bee tracking the runner there?
Looking at that pic im placing the blame firmly on Gomez. He's not even moving ffs and the ball is literally going where he should be going. To think he just gave away a completely unnecessary foul and then decides to identify as a statue at the corner is criminal.Modifying post.

There is still the fact that Militao literally walked by four or five defending players when he saw the ball coming in.
The one thing Gomez could and maybe shouyld have done was go for the ball, but what he could not do is see a player coming in on his blindside, that is what at least one of the five Liverpool players behind him should have been reacting to.
If one moves to go with Militao then he does not have a free run to come up on the blindside of Gomez so then if Gomez did not attack the incoming ball there still would have been a player who had gone with Militao to prevent him having such an easy chance.
It is not just Gomez or just TAA or whomever that is at fault on that free kick. They failed very badly as a unit and to a man when it comes to the defensive players.
I also do not buy into that hackneyed excuse that zonal marking is the issue and that man marking would automatically fix things. When we were letting in the least goals or close to the least goals for a number of seasons we used the same mix of zonal and man marking that we do now. Nobody was complaining then.
As with many systems, the system itself is not at fault it is the men supposed to be implementing it that are at fault.
What we did see last night was how mentality monsters react to adversity, it was just that last night the mentality monsters were wearing white.
Real showed last night, and a load of times in last season's CL, that they can take set back after set back and not one head drops. Setbacks seem to spur them on.
We used to be like that and it sucks to see our team of never say die guys now visibly withdrawing when the other team pushes back.
Said before that when I watch a game that my mentality is that we might dso something, we go a goal down and I am thinking we might do something, we go two goals down and I am still there thinking a lucky break or whatever will come about as long as we keep going at the other team. Watching footy or life that is the attitude to have imo, the one that forces you to just keep trying, to keep hoping and let the hop fuel the trying and the trying fuel the hope.
Last night, and in many other games, we did not show anything like that when Real pushed back. Or at least not enough on the pitch did not show it.
There are a few players I have no issue with for effort and/or performance last night.
Alisson despite the error still made important saves and game after game is top class.
Bajcetic played well and really well when his age and game experience is taken into account. He was up against world class performers all on form and he had little help from the senior midfielders beside him and the senior defenders behind him.
The starting front line did their jobs and they were utterly starved of serviuce as the game went on.
Every other starter just folded when the going got tough. TAA, Gomez, VVD, Robertson, henderson and Fabinho. Mentality marshmallows is what they were.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness

We wont be getting any kind of result at their place either. I can see a similar outcome where we go behind and then collapse.
Top four has to be the focus for all of them now. Forget the UCL and when we play the reverse fixture, we need to just go in there without any nerves and just play our own game and see what happens. Expectations should be on the floor though... anything other than a five-nil defeat will be a bonus.
