    Liverpool v Fulham

Another home game - Weds 8pm

Hopefully it comes quick enough before Klopp gets his lifetime ban/prison sentence for Sunday.

Same team with Hendo coming in for Elliot for me.

Klopp will be watching from the stands for this one onwards... and maybe for the rest of the season.

Gallagher and Webb's referees union is as corrupt and self-serving as this Tory government. Lies aren't lies if they don't believe them, which is all that matters. Irrelevant of any evidence to the contrary. They govern and investigate themselves from within. **** all chance of being held to account... for elbowing, blatant poor decisions, Haaland vs Jota contradictions from the same muppet, Dermot...

Referees need to be investigated by an independent ombudsman, not from an equally corrupt in-house team. Scandalous.

As ridiculous as the referees are, Klopp’s actions towards the 4th official, however much we lap them up, aren’t acceptable really and punishment is inevitable and reasonable.

        Agreed.

He was out of order and as frustrating as the officiating is, he needs to try and remain calm and set an example to the players. The fourth official wasn't the culprit either, it was Tierney orchestrating it...

Refereeing in this country needs to be looked at as a wider problem - the standards are ****e and there's no such thing as consistency of decision-making, especially VAR which was supposed to make things clear cut and non-subjective. It's still totally subjective about how VAR chooses to draw ****ing lines and if they're straight or not and whether toenails, fringes or having a big nose makes a call onside or offside. Farce.

Said it from the very beginning that VAR would kill the game and it is. The incompetence of the refereeing just makes it all the worse..

Doesn't excuse Klopp for one minute though... and from his post-match comments, I think he knows that.

What did he do exactly? Shouted at someone? I suppose we do live in an age of bedwetters who cant handle any form of criticism/or aggression shown at them. But he ran up and yelled at someone ffs. People need to get a grip. Acting like he's run up and head butted the 4th official ffs.

He will probably get a few games ban no doubt because the FA love making an example of us. But if we get Tierney again and the cunt continues to **** us over then what more can you do than shout at the him during the match. Theres no recourse. When one of the corrupt pricks can quite literally elbow a player in the face and see no punishment then what's the point?

This has been said for as long as I can remember. Not enough managers/clubs stand up to the pricks though. Look at Brighton this season. They've been absolutely shafted with some of these VAR calls and the clubs just bent over. Its probably cost them a spot in the CL! Thats 10's of millions of lost revenue for the club. Hardly a word said about it.

I thought Konate looked jaded on Saturday, so I'd be thinking about Joel or Joe too.

Any ban for Klopp will be for his post match comments rather that the incident with the 4th official.

Hopefully Robbo gets dropped after that ****show on the weekend.

If we're going to play this new formation then play Gomez, Konate/Matip and Virg

All we can do is win. Keep momentum going, tweaking and improving the system, give minutes to some players who need it without altering the balance of the side. If we can just keep focusing on a win, who knows... it might just keep United and Newcastle honest for the next few weeks until the CL places are all done and dusted.

Europa is at least some European football next season... and we should use that as a testing ground for the new players/system and energy levels to bring the fire once again...

Fulham tricky enough but as at home we 'should' win.

We still need a left back though with how we are setting up, either that or a quick and very mobile LCB that can get forward on the left flank as well as doing the LB duties plus that new job our LB seems to have of having to push in from the LB position to try and cover whomever is having to shuffle right (be it a CB or a midfielder) to try and cover for TAA.

We seem to have found a way to remove responsibility for defending from TAA but it is coming at a cost to other positions imo. Roberston on Sunday was one of those being stretched by the change.

Jones for me is becoming key to us holding things together somewhat in the middle with all the moving around going on across the back line and in the other CM slots.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

That’s not what he’s been charged for.

He got a booking for celebrating in the 4th official’s face. Which is about all it warranted.

1 TAA's change of position/role involves role/position readjustments throughout the team, and one of the biggest asks has so far been of the player in the role previously known as left-back. It is clear that Jurgen does not want to lose the option of a raiding left back and of triangulation on the left as well as the right otherwise he'd have gone straight to 3 centre backs.

2 Some of us are so quick to blame the player who has possession and loses it that we don't notice that the rest of the team has not given him options, hence the hesitation.
