He's been compared to Gerrard and KVB, but whoever made the Ballack comparison nailed it IMO.

    I loved Ballack (before Chelsea).
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He's the next Dominik. He's class and has his own style.

You can’t say £60m is a bargain but he’s the real deal. Best signing of the summer?

He looks fantastic to me. Got a bit of everything I think. Proper captain in the making.

It's a lot of money, but compare it to the going rate for young midfielders (Rice, Bellingham, Caceido, Lavia, Mount) and the value you get from Dom certainly makes him a bargain in today's transfer market.

I think it was Irishnev, and yep it’s an astute comparison.

Really impressed with him - brillaint going forward, but sometimes needs to get rid of the ball a wee bit quicker. His defensive work is what I wasn't expecting though, the guy seems like he is everywhere - getting blocks in, tackling and generally not giving the opposition time on the ball.

Lovely goal today - struck it perfectly (think someone in the match thread mentioned Thiago-esque which was spot on).

Looking at how well him and Alexis have settled, I'm now really gutted that we let Fabinho go - I think we would have seen him return to his best form with these guys doing the running for him, Fab would have just been there to hoover up anything that got through.

So perfect it was going wide . Not sure how it wasn't mentioned.. or that he got to keep it. Fair play though, was a good strike with his weak foot

                        Some player.

Ah ok, hadn't realised - the stream I was watching (Jim Beglin commentating) showed it in slow mo and it didn't look like anyone got a touch.

I noticed that last week also.

Yea in hindsight, Fab for 40 mil doesn’t look bad but doesn’t look great. I think he would have been back in form too.

                                Szobo is a genius though
