Think he’s much better than Solanke & I don’t see the comparison at all
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

      Some player.
Must admit I hadn't noticed that, but after reading your comment I went back and had a look and it does seem like it was going wide until that villa player stuck out a leg. Be surprised if the "dubious goals" folk don't take that away from him. Cracking strike and great technique tho.

I’m really confused by this suggestion because i don’t see it at all. I can’t see any contact off the defenders, it flies straight in.

48 seconds at half speed is the best angle.

You might be right looking at it; i thought it had hit that last defenders leg and veered in, but on reviewing it doesn't seem to. I hadn't watched it slowed down before, so it might be that skip of the ground that confused my eyes (and it definitely hit the ground, not having that Thiago 'ground effect' ****e again ).

On one of the views it looks like it takes a nick but it doesn’t. It’s an absolute beaut of a strike.

His technique and ball striking is elite but he also works like a demon…… v glad we moved away from Mount to him. I think he’ll have a Mo, Ali, VVD type impact for us

Yep it’s one of those half volleys that just flies. Such a sweet strike.

The work rate from him is insane isn't it.

He has an elite mentality like those guys. Super confident, a total winner, with just the right sprinkling of ****house which we sometimes lack.

He is Playing a different game to Mount. I’d not really heard of him so again you have to take your hat off to the scouting team.

Another angle confirming it wasn't going wide.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

can see clearly in that clip the Villa defender never got a touch

So I’m going back to my original comment of it being struck perfectly (before BG1973s interference)

MOTD2 commentator said it took a deflection too. Annoying.

That's done me in, I was convinced it was deflected judging by angle like this.

Look at original ball direction and it's curling wide, but maybe that's the point it hits the ground so misleading..

Still not convinced.. need slower frame rate of that one from behind.
