How do we get Thiago match fit/sharp without playing him in games?

He has shown in the past that he tends to slot right back into the first team once back in full training without needing a run of sub appearances to get back to speed.

Would be using him when fit, especially when we are still waiting to bring in players, rather than waiting for a training ground injury to sideline him again.

Same for me. Had Jones been fit, I would have had him over Elliott.

Will be a long season with a relatively small squad. Also, games are longer (100 mins +). Need to be smart with rotation and subs.

To be fair to him his previous longer term injury was a freak eye injury rather than any recurring injury.


The one thing him getting injured now might do is force our hand in terms of bringing in an extra player this window.
