Will be interesting to see how he gets on today vs Palace. Even against a poor footballing team like Sheffield United he was exposed defensively on several occasions. Overall I'm still not convinced.

He’s not starter quality but he’s the only midfielder we have with a defensive mindset, if he gives us solid 7s then I’m good with that.Originally posted by BootRoom View PostWill be interesting to see how he gets on today vs Palace. So far I see him as somebody to eat up games vs lower level opposition as part of squad rotation, or to come on with 10 minutes to go when the opposition players are shagged out.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostHe’s not starter quality but he’s the only midfielder we have with a defensive mindset, if he gives us solid 7s then I’m good with that.

I'm shocked how as the number 6 he's usually jogging back into our 18 yard box. Édouard was his man for that brilliant Alisson save. But on the other hand he's getting right into Palace faces and breaking up any scent of a breakaway by fouling at the right time. Good tactics. One tit for another.

He’s not fast enough physically or of mind to start for LFC regularly in the prem.
There’s been time enough now to confirm some fair questions from the summer around having a good enough specialist defensive mid. It could be the difference for the title if one was able to be bought in jan.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

He cant handle any sort of pressure being applied to him. Literally every single time he got pressed with his back to the goal he either fell over, gave possession away or had to shield the ball and try win a fk to save himself. he's a decent squad player to have and we need someone who specializes in that anchor role. A top class DM would do wonders for our side.
