I wonder why we gave him a 4 year deal. Surely he'd have jumped at the opportunity even if we'd offered only 2 years. There's still time for him to make his mark but it's looking so far like one of those loan deals the manager clearly wasn't on board with. On the flip side it's always going to be hard to integrate a player like him when the stakes are so high in the league. I'm hoping he becomes a useful sub option to close out games.

That goal certainly won't do him any harm. I thought his pace increased a bit after that, like a weight lifted off his shoulders and he seemed more relaxed. I don't think he has the pace or physicality to be a hit in the Premier league but certainly good enough for this type of competition. If we get Andre you would assume his game time will be limited further.

No I think he just becomes Andre’s backup & we free McAllister up to play further forward. If Andre is missing for a big match Jurgen may opt to play Mac in the 6 role but hopefully not.

His best game last night, confidence on the ball is growing. He's always scanning and has great awareness of what's going on around him. Another very handy squad player option.

Was at the game last night

He was brilliant pretty much all game. Was on it troubleshooting and also has surprisingly effective progressive passing game. If he can put in performances like that on a regular basis he is going to be an invaluable asset for the season.

I had him just edging Gravenberch as MotM.
