In a 2 man holding setup like we’re playing now I beg to differ. It’s him , Jones or O’Connell as the back up to Ryan & Jones is back up to Macca seemingly so we need to play him to give Ryan a break occasionally.

disagree with you Dom, i think perhaps some of the teams are now figuring out what to do with Grav off the ball and when they attack try to bypass him - if we perhaps start with him and Grav slightly a little fwd of him, with a roaming mid/attacker like jones/szob even more fwd... we need to be a little bit more astute defense wise...and of course leviate some off the defensive pressure off grav otherwise we are going to run him to the ground.. Endo has more than earned his minutes and he needs that extra game time minutes

He got MOTM in the echo or something... very unusual for a 20minute cameo, probably says more about the rest of the team tbf.

Slot doesn't seem to have much faith in Endo given his minutes. If he doesn't fancy him, you would wonder why we didn't do something in the Jan window, irrelevant now I suppose.

Grav looks bolloxed (Mac too) and has really started to flag, he is absolutely essential in the season run in & the big games to come domestically and in the champs league & we need him at his best. Endo is a limited player but he has shown to be an effective player in certain games & gives 100% every time. Giving him more minutes, whether that be started him a bit more frequently or maybe taking Grav off a bit earlier imo is a smart strategy too maximize Grav's performances until the end of the season. Also, having a replacement like Endo that bit more match sharp, with more mins under his belt... can only be a good thing.

I'm just explaining Slot's usage, so you're disagreeing with him rather than me.

I think changing things up somewhere is probably a good thing, but I'll leave it to the manager to figure out as I have no clue.

The fact that he got 20 mins when we were up against it, and I believe (didn’t see the game) performed really well suggests that Slot is starting to trust him. I think he can play an important part in the run in.

I love everything about him as a personality and a player. Champion squads need guys like him.

I think whether Slot trusts him or not is going to become somewhat moot, the midfield guys are really starting to tire, if we don't start giving him minutes sooner rather than later I think we are going to get ourselves in trouble.

Slot has obviously done very well since coming in but I feel that he needs to use the squad more to give people rests and not knacker them out, I fear that we are reaching a point where players levels are starting to drop due to tiredness or exhaustion, and that could have been mitigated somewhat by bringing in Endo, Jones and Elliott a bit more. to keep the other guys fresh
