It is. Unusual for a game to be brought forwards.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIsn't this the game we were due to be playing the weekend of the carabao cup final? Who decided it should be played this week? Presumably the clubs have a say in that, which is why I find it odd.
I think the clubs can request the change, but it needs to be signed off which it wasn’t not sure if we also requested it to be moved. If we win the game in hand it’s good times. If we lose it’s the narrative the press are desperate for and it becomes more of a battle.

Villa have the same they requested postponement of our game with them and had it rejected.
We have to get through this run with as many points on the board, consolidate fitness in March and then push for the finish. The truth is we need our best players fit and firing, we need to be ramping up not easing off. The good thing is that Slot and his team seem to be very good at managing player conditioning, which will be far more detailed than the eyeball test we provide.
Performance will be affected by nerves now also. The good thing is we can still pick up W’s without playing well. That’s crucial.

Hopefully he gets a break in March that is needed and can have one big push then for the run in. Big pity that we didn't hang on against Newcastle and Everton in the league games as those 4 extra points would be huge. Fingers crossed we win the league with a few games to spare and we can take it easy towards the end of the league campaign but it's just as likely that we will be flogged to death between now and the end of April and end up missing out on the big cups

Bajcetic isn’t ready for us and needs games to build fitness, let him off. We have 4 trusted midfielders for the 3 man starting 11, one more of the same level is needed for keeping players fresh and to allow proper rotation. We didn’t get Zubi but I have to think we’ll buy another technical all rounder such as the ones we haveOriginally posted by frank the tank View PostShould have brought Bajcetic back in Jan in my opinion. Grav has been brilliant and gone above and beyond expectations, but he has not logged this amount of minutes in 4 years. I think he's already more than doubled his minutes per season already. His minutes and body needs to be managed.Originally posted by S-RED View Posti am hoping that there is a mass withdrawel of internationals, but think the Dutch have a play off game, so unlikley...

Endo is not good enough on the ball to be a DM for Slott. He can't create space for himself nor drive the ball through midfield.Originally posted by SB View PostStart giving Endo minutes that’s what. Often when Endo comes on it’s for someone else as Slot hardly ever subs Ryan out.

They all need to tell their national teams to **** off and stay here during the international break.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostQuestion is what do we do about it? There are 13 League games, potentially up to 7 more CL games and a cup final. That's a min of 16 and max of 21 games left to play excluding internationals
Edit: and he's not the only one in the midfield who looks knackered, MacAllister in particular also looks like he could do with a break

He’d be fine with just one game a week IMO as he is a young fella but even if he got subbed out on 60 mins occasionally would help. I don’t have the numbers but I’m sure he’s played more minutes than any other midfielder

But for how long or what approach, do we alternate between the two of them? Given Gravenberch a few games off if so how many?
My feeling is still playing a game a week by rotating isn't getting the rest he needs, but if for example MacAllister also needs a rest do you don't rest both at the same time, but by that you never play your strongest team?
