Also feels like there is a lot more to come from him, he has a high ceiling potential wise given how young he is.

He looked a really good midfielder as a teenager, he got his move to Bayern where he never looked bad but was used in a few roles and not really ever developed in a set role.

He moved to us and last season it was a bit like his time at Bayern, not really ever getting a run in one position or his form from his time at Ajax being built upon.

From this pre season on and for whatever reason, he has been trusted in one role, and that confidence shown in him seems to have boosted his own confidence.

I love this part the most - almost says everything about Tent Peg and United today

Think what often gets overlooked with him is his age.

The guy only turned 22 in the summer. Quansah who we call a kid and say should be given time is only 7 months or so younger than him.

Guy has been great this season and looks like the talent that was being raved about for years is starting to show.

What is really funny about him though is that Tugs Hard is the manager that gave him his break at Ajax and was the manager who, before Slot, showed the most faith in him. Gravenberch then gets to be the one ex Ajax player that Tugs did not buy

Not MotM for once but again… really good game from him. He has pretty much got a signature move now with the ‘let the ball run, drop shoulder turn’.

Would like to see a three of him Macca and Curtis - but then we lack Doms energy.

True - I’d like to see those 3 too. I think Macca and Jones switching into the more advanced role could be very effective. Lots of Jones running, might not have Dom’s engine but he’s close. And the cuteness of Macca’s passing and/or shooting ability from 30 yards out.

Ya, v understated but did his work. Looks like his mid season loan to Roma won’t happen (my prediction last season ) I think we need one more to have a great set, Zubimiendi would’ve been great but let’s hope the data team can find an alternative

Dom is a box to box type player. I dont like him in that attacking midfield positon as I dont think he has the guile or vision to play in the forwards, but he presses really well which ,ay be what Slot wants.

I think Elliott is tailor made for the position, but I also think Jones would be well suited. And maybe Macca too, but I think Jones is very good at making a bit of space for himself to play a killer ball.

Despite our position ,I dont think its all quite clicked yet (still very early days... and considering Slot has not bought anyone).

It exciting to think how good we might become in a years time.

For Grav, I was surprised Klopp didnt gve him a run at DM as I thought that was why we brought him in late. Perhaps he is much better suited with Macca alongside (or Jones).

Grav was pretty quiet for most of the first half as Chelsea were man to man marking him. Once Labia went off he got involved a lot more but this was definitely the least influential he has been for us this season.

He was far too lightweight. I did suggest he had the athleticism to cover the dm but was too lightweight and seemed to bottle a challenge. So many said it could never happen.
He definitely has beefed up and can stand up to a shoulder barge. Something of a revelation.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Yeah, would love to see Elliott in the advanced midfield position too, this is all looking very promising, the squad will be tested now for the next weeks.

Some very good options when Elliott comes back. And hopefully Nyoni in a few years can add to that too.

Caicedo and Lavia both played ok for Chelsea and I think would have been good additions but missing out on them allowed us to bring in Szoboslai, MacAllister and Grav all for the cost of Caicedo. Which is epic transfer business

                          Down on page 3.

What a season he’s having and the consistency he’s showing.

Not much to comment on as he’s just turning up game after game and doing the same thing and going about it very quietly.

Kind of expect him to do his job, at an amazing level, and people are talking about all the other players. Up with player of the season so far. Massive in way the team plays and how solid they look.

Got to love his little let the ball roll and turning forward to start attacks. Adding a few Matip dribbles to his game now.

Incredible talent that’s really blossomed under Slot.

Player of the season for me. If he keeps this up all season and wins the CL, he's a top Ballon d'Or contender.
