I couldn't really get my wording right TBF, I m just sick of the curse of injured CB's. The only (good) one we've had since the days of Sami and Hencoz that isn't injury prone, ended up getting the worst injury of the lot thanks to Pickford.
I didn't say you were, it's just a typically English thing to say!

Saves us a massive headache with him being home grown, and massive bundle as well if carries on like this. Fantastic prospect and a good call not to get a CB in.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Be prepared to get shot down if & when we have an injury at the back

I dont think he has had a massive test yet, so I want to be cautious. But he has looked pretty good so far.

Last 20 v Newcastle away was pretty full on. 0-1 when he came on with Nunez.

It’s early days but he looks class.

He does look quality so far, I always feel the big test for a young defender is when they get a run of games, people have had a chance to look at them and figure out how to attack what is their perceived weakness. I feel they are somewhat 'protected' by opposition teams not expecting them to play (so haven't prepared how to get at them), as they get more game time and people have had a look at them I feel that is the key time in their development. I would hope that we aren't at the point of needing to throw him in to start games regularly as that would indicate injury issues or something with other players.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I didn’t realise it wasn’t virge for a sizeable part of last night

Richly deserved. Very early days but I can't believe how good he looks. He's no Rhys Williams that's for sure.

Yeah don't want to get too carried away (like we always do) but so far he has been really impressive. Doesn't get bullied easy, reads the game well, good in the air, good in possession and doesn't seem to get flustered.

If he can maintain this trajectory then he could become a genuine contender for Virgil's successor

He seems very calm ... Not sure about his longer balls yet (or passing in general). Also bringing the ball out of defence like Virl or Matip. But he has been very tidy so far.

Think he needs a tougher test though. Its hard to gauge him against the teams, that we have played. But he is still very young and hardly put a foot wrong so far... Even if he sits as a 4th/5th choice, he is looking like a very good option at the moment. And perhaps he can end up saving us a ****load on a replacement for Matip (although they cost they same). Never usually a fan of young centrebacks, but he plays with maturity too.

Yeah someone did some sleuthing and they weren't arsed in the slightest

                              Here

Seem to all agree he had potential in fairness, but looks like he made all his mistakes with them

I burst out laughing when the commentator said he had a “successful loan spell” with us. He was utterly f*cking w**k🤣
