I think we (fans, club) should move on and concentrate on upcoming football games. The media should focus on the bigger picture (poor and inconsistent refereeing/officiating) and move away from the match day ref and officials. The media attention on Darren England, for example, is too much. He's got a young family. People are crazy enough without the likes of the Mail telling us about his young family and where he lives.
And I'm still pissed off with the game.Another MASSIVE game

A possible solution would be to rule out the last goal so the game ended in a draw.
That way, both teams suffer the same consequences of the cluster**** (a legitimate goal not given)
As it was scored in the last minute, it really doesn’t have any impact on the remainder of the game.Last edited by rudedog; 05-10-23, 01:03 PM.

It would be fairer to award us our goal, seeing it was a goal, and then the end result being the game was drawn..Originally posted by rudedog View PostA possible solution would be to rule out the last goal so the game ended in a draw.

I think that's fair. A point each and Spurs should be happy with that considering they needed an OG at the death to scrape 3 of them. And I'm pretty sure they won't want to play another game against us, with the likelihood of getting nothing.Originally posted by Norbs View PostIt would be fairer to award us our goal, seeing it was a goal, and then the end result being the game was drawn..

At that point, it was 1-1, neither team could complain too much. Obviously it wouldn’t be ideal but there’s no good solutions.
The riot inside the stadium might have been a bit of an issue there though.....
Would be hilarious if we replayed the ****in thing and spanked these pricks.......and ended up winning the league on the back of it ha ha.
Won't happen though. Used correctly though, this could be a massive motivational tool for jurgen.

I was thinking that, but I don’t think we needed it tbh. We’ve been playing really well, and I feel like the team’s best strength the last few weeks has been the mentality- never knew when they were beat.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostUsed correctly though, this could be a massive motivational tool for jurgen.
You don’t want to get the team too fired up either- that’s what leads to Darwin headbutting people. Hopefully will keep the crowd fired up anyway, but in reality I don’t see any silver lining here. We should be in a position now where we’re thinking if we beat Brighton, city will have to go into their game against arsenal 4 points behind!I don't tip

They can't go messing about with the score afterwards, it's easy to say that the game should have been drawn because Spurs won by 1 and we had one disallowed, the reality of it is that the whole game changed from that point. Had we gone 1-0 up, down to 10 men we approach the game differently, maybe we hold on and win 1-0 maybe they go more attacking and beat us comfortably, or we hit them on the break and win by more, anything is possible. You saw how much the win meant to Spurs and their fans it isn't their fault that the goal wasn't awarded as close as we can to getting a point and as unlucky as we might consider ourselves to lose at the end of the day Spurs did win, the circumstances of how they won aren't their problem ultimately they did what they had to do, so taking points off them doesn't seem the right thing to do either.Originally posted by rudedog View PostA possible solution would be to rule out the last goal so the game ended in a draw.

This is what i was saying earlier, we should have thrown shade on the other issues on the game. The reality is the other fella should have been sent off (card waving). I think there were about five major issues with this game - highlight those and the issue they were in the UAE midweek and that would have resonated more with other fans than calling for a rematch (which isn't going to happen).Originally posted by Mark79 View PostJust ridiculous.
So never mind that Jota's 1st card clearly wasn't a foul, the PL panel had said that even the 2nd one wasn't a yellow
