    Happy New Year's reds

FWIW, I was deliriously happy that we were signing Caicedo; but if that would have meant him only, our midfield would've looked ****ing ****e

    Caicedo, Elliot, Jones?

I think Macca and Slobbo are world class and once played in their proper positions represent the absolute top tier of central midfielders. We just need that 3rd, defensively minded player to compliment them

I'd absolutely love that to be Endo, but the jury is out ATM
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Is it possible we just bid up Chelsea to rinse them.

Like reverse footy name that tune
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

We had already sign MacAllister and Szoboszlai when we had our bid for Caicedo accepted, so it would likely have been a choice between him and Endo and Gravenberch
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

All the best for the New Year people of EST... Love you all, every man, woman and Jaco/Pip...

Salutations of the season and a tip of the hat to you and you, sir.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Good point. Another reason why, having already spent what he had, it was entirely not feasible that we’d be chucking out another £110m.

Makes more sense than signing a LB IMO.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Which ones, the ones about hating LFC?

I hadn't read them earlier, but he clearly was a big hit with the fans. Maybe we'll have another Quansah situation on our hands.

The hate ones were funny, taken with a pinch of saltiness

I mentioned you individually, as you are a breed apart... think most of the rest of us are human(have my doubts about Dan, Buzzo and SB )

But more that you helped me raise some money for my dog's sister... Thanks again mate

(my dogs are going great guns... big ****ers now... muscles made of steel. It is a serious upper body workout to just take them for a walk. Tried to stop them eating children, but it is their hobby)

After this relentless run of games, we now dont play in the League until the 21st Jan (Bournemouth away) and then we have Chelsea at home on the 31st Jan (crucially a night game on a Weds).

                        Weird.

We then have Arsenal away on the 4th Feb. Feels like a decent time to manage minutes for these games and rotate. Get a few of the walking wounded back and we have the depth to handle the Caraboa semis and the FA cup.
                        Modifying post.

I honestly, honestly hope we don't go wild in either of the Carabao legs. Get some youngsters on. If we win, great. If we don't, we really don't need this cup even at this stage. We should use these days to relax and focus our first teamers minds on the remaining league games. It's our best run in I've seen in a while (though no doubt we'll make hard work of it).

PS get to the gym with your girly arms / upper body
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Not sure I agree. Our next league games are on 21st and 31st January. We can afford to go strong in the League Cup.

If we have to sack off a cup, I wouldn’t pick the one we’re potentially 2 wins from winning.
