These last few weeks a kind of putting the transfer market in a different light, we went from Caicedo for 110 to Lavia for almost 60 to Endo for 16 million and probably lowish wages too.

Klopp also took a chance on Quansah and saved tens of millions there and addressed a growing HG problem in the squad.

Last night Bradley and Clark looked decent, maybe we should give them more chances instead of looking at the market, specially in Bradley's case.
    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Absolutely made up with both of them last night. Both made massive contributions.

Over the course of a long season there will be the odd occasion where you need a few of your youngsters to step up, and last night was a great example of that. They must both be buzzing today in training.

No VAR for Carabao Cup semi-finals

The first legs of the Carabao Cup semi-finals take place this week but there will be no video assistant referee in operation for the two ties because Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium does not have the necessary technology.

In a statement, the EFL said: "Given the system is not installed at one of the participating semi-finalist clubs and to maintain fairness and consistency, VAR technology will not be used in the Carabao Cup semi-final stage this season.

"This is in line with previous rounds of this season’s competition when at some grounds, but not all, VAR has been available. VAR is installed at Wembley Stadium and as per our previous commitment VAR will be used in February’s final."

Although, think Coote is ref. The one who didn't give a foul against Pickford on Virg, nor give the Odegaard hand ball against Arsenal recently (while doing VAR).
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The fact that you’re basing a judgement on 20 minutes absolutely blows my mind

In the case of Bradley, isn't he the one who shone at Bolton last year, scooping player of the season?

How many players from the academy have actually played this season? We’ve got 4 regulars in the squad and playing but plenty have had decent minutes as well, that’s not including Elliot. Getting good use of it this season, better than I can remember for a long long time.

                    Yes
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

TAA, Jones, Quansah and Kelleher are regularly involved, (plus Gomez and Elliott who weren't academy products but have been with the first team squad since they were young). we have seen Bajcetic, Doak, Gordon, Chambers, Scanlon, McConnoll, Bradley and Clark all play in the cups. I make that 12, and would expect to see Beck as well at some point.

Trey Nyoni has been on the bench a few times too now but not been involved. They have high hopes for him.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

                            Another injury then.

The grind will kill us. The league is there, focus the senior squad on that and ONE of the cup competitions (Europa for me).

Almost an entire team out ffs. Big strain on the remaining players, and it always feels like Konate, Gomez and Jones are never far away from another niggle.

                              TAA
                              Matip
                              Robertson
                              Tsimikas
                              Thiago
                              Bajcetic
                              Endo
                              Salah

Doak too. Assuming VVD will be back shortly. Any more?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
