You can understand how the on field official isn't sure, that's a pen but VAR is looking at these decisions and still getting them wrong, there is either something wrong with the VAR process or the people using the system. They shouldn't be getting these decisions wrong week after week.

The system isn't improved by using more of the same **** refs as VAR officials, you just get 2 **** refs for the price of one.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostVAR was widely supported before it was brought in because the refs were **** in real time. In reality they are just ****.
That one seemed dodgy to me though. Whichever prick (Coote?? Kavanagh??) screamed "his hands on the floor" seemed obviously keen to not give it. Why shout that out??The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

exactly this; its their mates, they can't be seen to overturn 2, 3, 4 descisions each game; so its a flawed system......Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostThe system isn't improved by using more of the same **** refs as VAR officials, you just get 2 **** refs for the price of one.

This was probably before the Fulham game?Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThe fact that you’re basing a judgement on 20 minutes absolutely blows my mind
Bradley definitely can hold his own as back up IMO, he is quite obviously different to players like Chambers. Clark is another matter and further down the pecking order.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

The Ruben Dias disallowed goal that would have put City 2-0 up was a big decision that went our way.Originally posted by Pablo View PostHave there been any big decisions/mistakes that have gone our way? Trying to be reasoned/sensible but I can't think of any major decisions we have benefited from all season?.

Agree, but the question was big decisions/mistakes. It was definitely a major decision that we benefited from and could have easily gone the other way.Originally posted by Pablo View PostHmm, still not 100% sure on that one personally. It was soft, but I'd still argue that it is just about a foul on Allsson from Akanji..

It didn’t turn out to be costly, but the disallowed Gakpo goal against Burnley was another shocker, up there with the Arsenal one imo.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThe two that really stick out are the Spurs one and the Arsenal one. That is probably 3 points, the others you can argue the toss about, or made no difference to the resuly, but those 2 were hard to believe..

He pulled Alisson's arm as Alisson went to catch the ball there should be no question about that. IMO the fact we are talking about that being a decision that could or couldn't have been given IMO demonstrates how poor and inconsistent the officiating has been.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostAgree, but the question was big decisions/mistakes. The Elliot goal in the same game too, ruled out because Salah was pushed into an offside position and deemed interfering with the GK.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostIt didn’t turn out to be costly, but the disallowed Gakpo goal against Burnley was another shocker, up there with the Arsenal one imo.
Other decisions that other people will say we got lucky on were the pen that Jota won against Newcastle, because he went down late. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It comes back to VAR not being about applying consistency across different games, but judging whether an on-field decision was a clear and obvious error.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostClearly it was a decision that went our way, but I think all the outcry on that one was from City fans and Sky trying to generate drama. If the ref had given the goal, I doubt VAR would have objected..
