If there are long term injuries in there, I'd want the focus to be League then Europe and then FA Cup the lowest priority.

Yaaa hopefully we won’t have any tough draws in Europa/ FA cup for a while, and when we get to the later stages of them, we’ll know what kind of chance we have in the league…

If we win the next 3 league games, including man city, I’ll be happy to sack off everything else and go all out for the league. On the flip side if city beat us, and don’t slip up by the time the cups come round again, we may as well go for them. A cup treble would be a great season tbf.
      I don't tip

City have a tough March, they have Utd home, us away, Brighton away and Arsenal at home as well as the second leg v Copenhagen and then whomever they face in the next leg of the CL.

I’ll be a lot more confident if both Arsenal & City drop a few more points soon. The pressure is killing me
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Lots of talk on twitter that Jota and Jones are both out for the season. Hopefully it's just bull****ters.

Although it feels like Klopp can take McConnell and Clark now and win **** with them.

            When is Szobo back?

Hopefully it’s all bull****, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Jota’s is grade 3 ligament damage. If so that’s his season over.

More hopeful that Curtis’ is a sprain, but even that probably a month and half out.

Nunez also to have a scan.

Szoboszlai has a chance for the final this weekend.

If we are looking at being without a few players for much of the rest of the season we probably need to think about our priorities, if we go all the way in all competitions that 24 games 13 of which are in the league. With fixture scheduling that means 2 games a week until the end of the season, starting to wonder if we should sack the FA Cup off
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We've had 3 games in a row with no midweek games and 5 players have been injured (if you include Thiago ). There is no guarantee that if we reduced the games, it would reduce the injuries.

Plus we have to play next round regardless and then there are only 2 more rounds until the final, which is after all other competitions were complete.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

reckon we can win the league without Ali?

Its not just about further injuries. With options to rotate severely impacted by so many existing injuries, its about not overplaying the remaining fit players across so many games that they burn out and our performance level peters out across each of the remaining competitions.

The last time we played midweek, we were running on fumes the following weekend game. And we've had a pile of further injuries since then.

Our medical staff are probably on City's payroll.

Ox Naby Thiago Matip. Whatever they had is spreading like a disease.

I think we can carry most of the injuries we have. Our depth in midfield and up front means we still have a strong first 11, but we should prioritise the league, and give the kids a run out in the cups.

Alisson is the biggest loss, up there with Salah and VVD. We can cover a few games, but they are match winners when you are not 100%, and we will eventually drop points without them in the team.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

The problem is the way we seem to rack up injuries though - we are just about to start a really intensive period where we will be playing twice a week. The squad is already thread bare - it will seem like a miracle if we come through this period unscathed

And the one before we went out and hammered Bournemouth 4-0 away from home when that was a tough game on paper. If someone offered me the league or even the EL at the expense of the FA Cup, I'd snap their hands off, but i honestly don't see our chances increasing that much if Southampton were to beat us in the next round. I obviously understand all the reasons why having less games would be an advantage, but as I've said before, the advantages of going on a good cup run outweigh them imo.

Anyway, had this whole discussion multiple times before the Arsenal match. I accept the rationale for those (everyone but me it seems) who think we'd be better off out of the FA Cup, but I wholeheartedly disagree.
