Not holding out much (any?) hope that Brentford will do anything tonight.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostLet's see if Brentford can be as rough against City tonight.
The only slight solace I can find is that Citeh's bad results tend to come in small bursts. They'll draw / loose 2 out of 3 games or 3 out of 4.
Obviously it doesn't happen all that often.

City have a run of Man Utd, Us, Brighton, Arsenal and Villa coming up in March. That'll decided the title. If we beat them, its gigantic.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostUnless there are slip ups before that the City game looks to be season defining, while I wouldn't be too bothered about having Kelleher for any of the other games up until then, in the City game when you need to be at your best Alisson is a potential match winner.*Except Michael, who died.

Hasn't Alisson had poor games against Citeh on a couple of occasions in recent seasonsOriginally posted by frank the tank View PostKelleher in goal v City gives me the 2 bob bits to be honest..... We could batter them for 90 mins and still lose 4-1
Becker is the most important player in our team. Think that could **** us to be honest

My hope is that they’re too fired up to get back on track and someone (Rodri, please) gets a straight red.I don't tip

Prioritise those 13 league games imo.
Rotate and rest around them as much as necessary to make sure our strongest players are not just available, but also as fresh as possible for those games.
Even if it means taking an early round Carabao Cup attitude to the Europa and FA cups.
We’re far too stretched to go big for all 3.
Maybe reassess after the International window, depending on who’s fit by then and which competitions we’re still alive in..

agreed- our reserves should be enough to get past Southampton in the cup and hopefully we get a handy enough draw in Europa next.. then by the time we play in either them competitions again, we should know where we stand in terms of a title race. If we’re ahead of city after playing them, I would say we should go all out for the league. The cups are nice, but a league title is more one that we’ll remember fondly 10 years from now.. would be great for Klopp to win it in a packed anfield too…
See arsenals second last game is at old trafford. It would be lovely if United put the seal on it, for us to win it, hahaI don't tip

Finals are there to be won - you don't go second string, nor do you do the same in the league.
Argument for the FA cup and Europa but given we are 2nd faves for the FA cup and faves for Europa where do you draw the line ?
Going second string at Wembley on Sunday isn't an optionI make no apologies, this is me

The fact we’ve been able to rotate so much this season already will help us out in terms of minutes players have played you’d hope. Obviously loosing more players won’t help but if this is the worst we get to with injuries then the way we’ve managed players minutes could be very beneficial while we get through and get players back.

I wasn't including the League Cup. At the final stage, so go for it.Originally posted by Deano View PostFinals are there to be won - you don't go second string, nor do you do the same in the league.

I don't think any team can cope with the amount of injuries to 1st teamers and still compete on all fronts.
