    Union Saint-Gilloise (a) - Europa League

Remember when we topped the CL group a few years ago, Jurgen still took a very strong squad to some away game in the back arse of nowhere and Matip got injured. We dropped points to Fulham a few days later in the league.

Hoping to **** that we see a total youth line up for this.

I hope we don't see any of the first team play this nothing game, especially not any of the CBs. Another injury would be absolutely disastrous with the festive fixture pileup incoming.

Just send the under 21 players

Agree with all of the above - I don’t care if we lose 5 nil….. no first testers should travel. United, WH and Ars all coming thick and fast

This game kind of shows that we need bit more cover at the back. We can't fully rotate everyone and Gomez might be needed at right back, could Endo play CB?
          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Sadly, from previous assessment of Klopp's EL selection, we may see first teamers start:

            Kelleher
            Gomez Konate Q Bradley
            Elliot Jones Gravenberch
            Doak Nunez Diaz
            One tit for another.

But this is a dead rubber ahead of a massive game on the weekend. He'd be mad to take risks.

Klopp has shown in the past he is prepared to stick a fork into the plug - away to Mitijland (spelling) in the CL, group won and he rolled out first team era when Jota got a bad injury

I still can't believe that to this day.

I think he feels that 60 mins of competitive football is better than any training could be, and it's a way to keep the players fresh and focussed.

Jota getting an injury was unfortunate, but players can pick up injuries in any situation, be it match or training, so I don't think one injury will sway Klopp's thinking. We might see a few more youngsters than normal, but there will be senior players in their as well, to lead and direct.

I’d potentially play Nunez as he might get a few goals which would be good for his confidence.
                      Modifying post.

Big difference between the win receipts for CL and UEFA though. We'll play an U21 team IMO with a few players down on games IMO.

the prize money for winning a group game in the CL is more than the prize money for FA cup final and league cup final combined! Ultimately it cost us, but I think they need to try win all the CL games.

Bayern played their first 11 against Copenhagen, despite being guaranteed top spot, and they’ll surely play their first 11 against United tonight too.
                              I don't tip
