He overachieved massively with them last year.

Well going by this season he seems to have forgotten them then.

Think last season was a bit of a perfect storm for him. Him operating under few expectations and a number of the traditionally strong clubs having wobbles.

This season came with expectations and he bottled it. Often finishing games without having used his subs then complaining about how players are tired.

Only a matter of time before Newcastle get rid of him imo and he goes back to clubs with lower expectations and back to him getting praised for meeting those lower expectations from time to time.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I mentioned Slot earlier in the thread.

He's highly regarded but I think it'd be a huge risk for us and not one I'd.be keen for us to take.

Mel articulates my feelings much better:

Thinking more from an experience side of thing than anything.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Unproven in the prem so rather give it to Xabi

Eh? Ancelotti has won the Prem, while Alonso has never managed in it?

We would have to believe he is a generational talent to ride that rollercoaster, all with the constant risk of Madrid coming for him two years later once we’ve made him a better manager
He has two years at Real Soc B, got them relegated mind

After getting them promoted for the first time in 60 years though.

Oh **** his stint at Everton clouded my mind

I think he’d have been in the running if he were still at Celtic, but we’re not getting him out of Spurs after 1 season.

My heart says Xabi or Rafa but my head thinks it is too soon for the former and too late for the latter. One of my staff is an Ipswich fan and thinks their manager (McKenna?) is the next big thing. Potter is better than he showed at Chelsea but good enough?
                          Never knowingly optimistic

He’s a red. If we came in, he’d want the job, IMO. But I don’t think we’ll be doing that.

If we did approach him and he wanted to make it happen, he’d have to really kick up a fuss, because Levy would fight tooth and nail to stop us poaching him. I don’t think he’s the type to do that and don’t think he’s any any rush to leave what he’s started at Spurs.

Pep had 42 games at Barca B when he got the main job, Xabi has about 3 times that between Sociedad B and Leverkusen
