Yes, he's supposedly good, I know we wouldn't hire him, but I reckon Gary Oneil's next step will be very interesting.

Fair point, has the Liverpool connection, TBF Wolves and Bmth players raved about him, but might be just a step to far at this stage. Has no European experience either - Xabi, is probably a lot further on tho. All the things I hear on O'Neil, nothing is negative

Spanish state prosecutors are accusing the Italian coach of using a "confusing" system of shell companies to hide parts of his income during his first stint at the LaLiga club a decade ago.

The former Chelsea and Everton manager is accused of two counts of tax fraud, which is punishable by up to four years and nine months in prison.

They accuse the coach of having defrauded €1million (around £855,000) in 2014 and 2015.

The prosecutors claim that during the period in question, Ancelotti only declared the income he received from Real Madrid and did not declare income from image rights.
They accuse him of allegedly setting up shell companies to hide his extra earnings.

Ancelotti, 64, coached Real Madrid from 2013-2015 before rejoining the club in 2021.

He is one of football's most successful coaches, winning league titles in all five of Europe's top leagues and also securing four Champions League triumphs, two with AC Milan and two with Real Madrid.

Ancelotti also won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2010.

Before turning to management he had enjoyed a successful playing career, winning the European Cup twice as a midfielder for AC Milan and making 26 appearances for Italy.

Pretty much an every day thing when managing Liverpool. Best get used to it if he has any intentions or hopes of replacing Klopp.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen won their 21st of 25 games in this Bundesliga season - Bayer have never won more in an entire Bundesliga season. Bayer have now won as many matches as the previous season's champions (FC Bayern) after 34 games.

Considering where they were when he took over it’s something special that Xabi is creating over there.

Would be a good sensible choice as has a good football philosophy similar to Klopp & plenty of experience with big players along with good personnel skills for developing/dealing with young players. He seems to be the ideal guy to take over from Klopp as would complement the work that Klopp leaves behind.
I still think Liverpool job is too early for Xabi as he should stay with Leverkusen for another couple of years to develop his skills & earn more experience in a relaxed environment.
