This guy could be a difficult fit fanwise. Jurgen transcended cultural differences through having a huge ebullient personality, a great sense of humour that English people could relate to and total integrity. A lot of people will find a confident big personality Dutch guy hard to warm to as most Dutch people already have a fairly confident demeanour by UK and Irish standards and this can seem like really unpleasant and very unfunny arrogance. Just trying to give the xenophobic angle.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

Albert Gudmundsson who plays for Genoa and was at AZ with Slot, speaks very highly of Slot, Albert says he knew right away Slot was destined to the top, great tactically, gets everything out of his players and great guy, funny and charming.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I’m totally underwhelmed to be honest, he seems like a massive punt.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostI'm warming to this guy, thought it was a great move from him to just be honest and say he wants the job, none of this cloak and dagger to hide something everyone knows.
But keen to know who is next.Modifying post.

I wonder if there will be some kind of organised handover between the managers and coaching teams. This kind of transition is pretty strange in the modern game and there’s no reason for Klopp not to give Slot his analysis of the squad, youth team and some insights into the premier league on and off the pitch. Would Slot be open to listening? Who knows.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

If a manager like Slot feels like he doesn't need to listen to a manager like Klopp then we're fecked already.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI wonder if there will be some kind of organised handover between the managers and coaching teams.
