It’s ok that we disagree. I think sometimes we forget how difficult a job the officials have, and then we don’t know the discussion that happens in VAR so we aren’t enlightened as to why the decisions aren’t overturned.
For me Chelsea were diving all game which affected the onfield decisions. Then VAR couldn’t find enough evidence to over turn. Gallagher wasn’t going to score so he was looking for contact. He got it.
I think the other one looks worse in slow Mo, but could well have been given onfield. It is key that the decision has to be enough evidence to overturn the onfield decision. The take would be that the level of contact didn’t provide enough contact for the foul.
Would I be disappointed if they’d gone against us? Probably. Especially if we were 4-1 down.
