Watched on the phone as am away (thanks btw) - was about to say the same. I think we really dodged a bullet on Caicedo at that price. Mac was miles ahead of both of them

That was really enjoyable but I’m still a little annoyed as we left 3 goals out there we could’ve absolutely thumped them. We were so dominant in all areas and we out worked and out fought them - Bradley was great but do we’re Mac and Jota. Diaz is looking like his mojo is coming back and we’re getting more bodies into the squad.

When you factor in the “want to do it for Klopp” aspect then we’ve a log to look forward to. We looked disjointed for 10 mins after the substitutions but then we settled again. Mudryk at 85m might end up bring the worst transfer of all time in the future, the guy is a fraud

Dare I say it, decent refereeing performance. Didn’t buy into any of their diving.

We could or should have scored 8 against them.
Doesn't make much of a difference, but pretending there was nothing in those Chelsea penalty shouts while we keep screeming corruption is not the best look. I think we'd demand those penalties if the roles were reversed.

I can't believe Tierney didn't leap at the chance to award either of their penalty dives.

What's he up to? What ****ing sick plan is keeping up his sleeve for later in the season?

Chilwells was a clear dive. The Gallagher one he is careering into the area looking for a pen. The VVD one looked bad in slow Mo, looked a dive at real-time.

We’d demand at least one as supporters for sure, that’s our job.

Come one mate VVD on Nkunku is a clear pen. Was nowhere near the ball, kicked his ankle.

The Gallagher one... I mean come on gets past him and is taken out with the knee.

Doesn't change the fact that we demolished them, but we really don't have to predend here if we are considering ourselves to not be a deluded fanbase like all the others.

Chilwell no pen cos no contact, Gallagher was going down before the contact, and the one where Virg kicks the standing foot was not enough to send a player down like Nkunku went over. But...if Tierney gave either of the latter two, the video ref wouldn't overturn them.

I think McCoist has been told to tone down the Liverpool love, so picks faults with things. Has to realise that contact in the box does not automatically mean penalty tho.

I didn’t think the Nkunku one was a clear pen, it looked like fairly minor contact to his standing leg (and he had his back to goal).

Yeah that’s how I saw them also. Slow Mo makes a difference. They were looking to go down all game. If they’d been given they wouldn’t be overturned, but they were not.

Even Poch not going in that hard for them.

Yeah I’d already seen it plenty of times, I just don’t think contact should always be a pen.

The midfielder has really clicked now and they all know their roles and have settled down nicely. Also with the system whether it’s Trent or Gomez going into midfield it’s very fluid and balanced.

Is it me or does it seem like we aren’t going to a back three with that rather two and two and the other fullback goes forward while today Jones drifted wide. Everyone feels comfortable and confident now matter who’s playing. Again patience is paying off nicely.

Nice to have options in every position especially at RB and DM where we thought we looked weak. Jota and Diaz have done well filling in for Mo. With Bradley doing so well and Timy back soon it gives us Gomez as a fourth CB as well as a FB if needed.

He thinks contact equals a pen. But other than that he's very effusive about us. Has been for a long time tbf.
Yeah it was a weird take. It felt like he kept saying there was contact so it was a penalty. Other than that he’s alright. If contact is all it takes for a penalty it would get a bit ridiculous.

I also don't think a contact should always be a pen, but I see a kick that moves his standing leg here.

It doesn't matter anyway as we battered them. I just think it's kinda weird how we keep piling up, and rightfully so, all the awful decisions that have gone against us, but pretend there's nothing on the other end. Some posters probably feel like there hasn't been a single bad decision that's gone our way this season.

He could have easily stayed on his feet though, instead he jumps up in the air like he's been shot. I'm not saying it definitely wasn't a pen, I think if the ref gives it then VAR aren't going to overturn it - for me it wasn't as clear cut as the pundits were making out.
