I agree that Gakpo has faded somewhat, and I could add Elliott who has been **** as often as not this season. Gravenberch looks quite a long way off and looks low on confidence, we don’t know how to use Trent effectively and the 4-4-3 is looking very tired with teams overloading us with width. BUT, I’m not sure any of that is worth worrying about because so much will be thrown up in the air in the summer. We will change how we play and players who we currently rely on may struggle and some on the periphery may shine.

City are better then us, Arsenal are arguably better than us, so I think we just need to bag CL to set our new manager up to succeed. Things will looker clearer this time next year.

The best we could have gotten was 1 point. We got 0. Not a large margin of difference. This is not a defeatist attitude, but a realist one. What we do from now with our players all returning, Alison over his annual brain farts, etc, will determine where the title goes.

Today's game is not as big as everyone is making out.
Completely agree. Everybody was raving about Arsenal in the beginning of the season, we are still 2 points ahead.
We knew it would be close.

Let's hope this is the kick up the arse that makes us dig deeper.

Mentality monsters, looked like we **** our nappies...

Also I have to say I hate Kai Havertz he's a sly cheating bustard, was constantly going down holding his face when there was no contact near his face, moaning about decisions and constantly fouled our CBs including this one on VVD, which was dangerous and he didn't even get booked for

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

What’s important here is the response, every team has a bad day, every team loses from time to time. What we do next matters and we have Burnley at home next weekend.

If City win their two games in hand they go 1 point ahead of us - which brings back too many memories. The one positive for me this season is there are a lot of teams with something to play for so I’d say it’s not likely that any team is going on a 15 match winning streak.

It is going to be a bun fight this season. We are going to have to accept that and scrap. And support.

Didn't Virg have a sly dig at Havertz when he was getting up from that 'challange'

Yeah commentator (Neville) said VVD kicked out at him as they rolled to the ground, and VVD was lucky. But IMO that is a ****house challenge from Havertz, not looking at the ball just goes to take VVD out.

I thought he was going to be brilliant when he was at Leverkusen but he’s a massive flop and a cheating ****house to boot. That’s a Harry Kane special and a red card in rugby!

I'm over that, poss a blessing in disguise tbh, brings people back down to earth and re focus after Klopp announcement.

After the first half we didn't deserve anything.
I make no apologies, this is me

IMO It's much worse than what Kane did, Kane was at least somewhat subtle in how he did it, he was usually facing the ball and backing into the player. So could at least pretend he was going for the ball. Havertz isn't looking at the ball, but is looking at the man and charges into him. I doknow how that isn't at least a yellow.

VAR looked at it as a possible red for VVD for the reaction but didn't look at the challenge

Kane was more subtle about his ****housery - Havertz was v deliberate there
