    Jayden Danns

I think this young fella deserves his Thread now. He’s been banging them in for fun in the 21’s despite being only 18 & now he’s had the best week of his life with his 1st appearance off the bench followed by a CC Final appearance where he looked at home & then grab 2 goals off the bench in the FA Cup vs Southampton. The future looks pretty bright at the moment.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Exactly, what a week ! He & Koumas are tearing it up in the 21’s so it’s nice to see them get match time but importantly score goals. For all the promise from Ben Doak there’s been little to no end product so it must feel good for these lads . The Academy players have had a lot of opportunities this season & most are making the most of it.

I dont see it in Doak. He is too small and doesnt have the skillset to make up the difference. May boss it against kids, but I dont get the hype.

You could see the likes of Pennant and Sterling (and Elliott) had the skills despite being small, and made an impression against men. adoak just seems to charge in head down.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

I've assumed it's just been a confidence thing with Doak

            Tough crowd in these parts.

This feels a like a rather premature assessment for a kid who was still 17 last time he played.

Danns looks like he has the X factor, something that you can't coach in to a player despite age and ability. Fowler had it too

I can't get over how good that first goal was for someone who had played about an hour of first team football
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah incredible really, we'd have been absolutely buzzing if any of our more established forwards pulled that off. It's like he knows this is his destiny & so isn't phased by the occasion

If you compare Danns composure to that of the Forrest player who had a glorious chance just before.

The Forrest player snatched at that chance when he had both time and space and should have done much better.

Are you talking to us from the future, or do you mean Southampton?

None of the smarmy attitude that United players exhibit either
