True. Szlob is a great athlete and a pressing beast, also has a good strike on him, but he’s quite a meat and two veg player. Gravenberch is too scared to do anything other than the simple pass back. The midfield subs made a huge difference. And we didn’t miss Salah when he went off.

One of those quotes is mine. I think we are the third best team in the league and I don’t think it’s a particularly controversial thing to think. However, I have not been doom and gloom in this thread, and thinking we’re the third best team doesn’t mean I think we can’t or won’t win the league. I’ve made no statements about the transfer window and am a firm backer of FSG and have never mentioned Pep’s book. Your straw man based self righteousness is pointless.

And not giving players, especially young ones, time to settle in and develop. Jones going from not good enough and a championship player to a key player for us. People were asking why we bought Mac Alister and what did he offer after a handful of games.

We scored bucket loads of goals this season, we’ve not conceded many. We’ve only lost 2, one ridiculously.

Aesthetics is different, all three teams bring different elements, we perhaps have the best mix of qualities. I don’t think there’s much between the top three at all - and I certainly don’t think we are the third best. I’d say the game at the weekend with the other two shows that neither of them are miles ahead of us either.

Best team over 30 games has been us. Might be a cliche but the league table does not lie.
