Lacking enthusiasm for this. It’s not beyond us but that 1st goal is going to be so important. An early goal for us & they might get nervy.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Unlike the last 3 games, I'm actually ready to watch this **** show.

          I’d start with

          Ali

          TAA Quansah VVD Robbo

          Elliott Mac Allister Jones

          Diaz Jota Gakpo

Still has to be Salah on the right for balance and the penalties. European refs might actually give us them. Gakpo back on the bench.

Firstly show some pride and desire and at least win the game. Then try and win the tie.

I'm generally the optimistic sort ( ) but even i can't see them doing it tonight.

Important players are playing poorly at the most crucial time of the season. VVD, Salah, Darwin, Kweeve, Konate & Dom Soz all appear to have hit a wall

I think we'll win the game but I can't see us keeping a clean sheet either. Gonna watch the game and hope for the best but the 3 nil deficit was a real kick in the bollox. I think 2 nil would have been doable, the third goal was a killer & we have been lacking momentum aswell. We are just not playing well enough at the moment & look wrecked, so yeah I am not optimistic about the outcome & fear we will be knackered for the Fulham game.

I think I prefer Elliot as an impact sub, he's looked better coming on against tired legs. And Konate over Quansah if Trent is going to be marauding centrally.

                    Ali
                    TAA Konate VVD Robbo
                    Szobo Macca Jones
                    Salah Jota Diaz

Nunez and Elliot to run rampant against an exhausted Atalanta defense when they are introduced in the second half. Bajcetic to replace Szobo and allow Macca to push forwards more in the final 30 mins, when we are hunting a 5 goal that will put the tie to bed.

He might move central, but marauding I suspect not.

Would prefer to see Gomez at RB and him being told to play as a RB with no inverting gong on.

Problem with Gomez is when he plays the RB role, Klopp also instructs that he plays it inverted, and he's just not got the vision that Trent has so he's wasted there. Seems like it was only Bradley that plays as a traditional RB, and he's gone and injured himself.

Oh...well, with Trent playing, maybe towards the end of the game we will go to a back 3 with Trent playing the Quarterback Role.

I've got a sneaky feeling about this one.

A win could really be the tonic we need to smash the rest of the season.

                            Free hit.
                            Oh I don't know.

That is true, but the flip side is when we don't have the ball TAA does not have the pace or physicality that Gomez has and does not seem to possess will to want to take on players that will turn the right flank into a physical battle.

And we saw last time out against Atalanta that they are very willing to turn it into a man vs man battle all over the pitch and especially in the centre.

TAA seems to come on and just want to try long hollywood balls every chance he gets and when it turns into a who wants it more type game he seems to end up on the periphery a lot of the time.

Have full confidence in him when played as an attacking right back, not so much when used as an inverted defender/extra midfielder. When used as the latter he often becomes a luxury player.

Think my issue with him there is that you have no idea at all what version of him you are going to get until the game is 15 minutes old. Whereas the others we use at RB you kind of know that the majority of the time you are going to get a solid rather than spectacular performance.
