I don’t think we need a massive rebuild, plenty of talent around this team. A freshen up in attack and a couple changes in defence. And with a new manager and a change to system / formation it might liven up some of the players lacking at bit right now.

Plus the new boss likes to develop the younger players. Plenty of those to pick from.

But we are going back to our more effective transfer strategy so that will make a massive difference. I suspect Edwards will have a few names ready to go that can hopefully be reminiscent of Mane and Salah when they first arrived.

The Salah-Mane-Firmino front line had great understanding or intelligence and made it look easy our front line at the moment is the opposite.
If Salah is the intelligent player he ought to be, he ought to be able to drop back and see the runs of other players and play a forward playmaker role, or be that false 9 if you prefer. I think he is getting on and isn't suitable for the right wing anymore, but it doesn't mean he needs to be finished. Unfortunately I don't think he has that kind of football intelligence, nor that self-awareness that his time as the primary goal scorer is over. Kenny adapted well - and the result was that forward trio of "Dalglish - Rush - Goal!" - that's what we need him to do imo, but it won't happen because he lacks that self - awareness. I hope he proves me wrong.

And we'd also need a new Ian Rush

Love the optimism but we need surgery, unless we promote a lot of youngsters - which we should.

The midfield is new but I think quite a few players in attack and defence will move on this summer. You can't cover all that with the kids. We'll see.

A question I have is this. If we change our style of play a bit and the way we work the players can we expect to see fewer injuries going forward? Maybe we'll be less gassed at the end of seasons as well.

I hope it is an area they have looked at in the recruitment process.

If we got to a 4231 some of our current players like Elliot will be playing new roles as a 10 so it might freshen things up. Plus with two holders in midfield we should see more protection to the defence. It will be interesting to see what happens. I’m happy either way to be honest. Don’t mind a big refresh but happy for the new boss to back the current lot and get something new out of them

Look at VVD, I think getting the captain’s armband really got him back to his best. Let’s hope the new boss has a big impact. Either way with the new team behind the scenes I expect better results from transfers both in and out.

I'd grab the lot of them and tie them to a chair, slap a pair of headphones on their stupid heads, then subject them to 24 hours straight of everton fans singing you lost the league at goodison park. Everytime they look like they're falling asleep I'd turn the volume louder and smack them with a paper fan in the back of the head. I'd play the reserves and youth players for the rest of the season. This lot arent doing anything. They know klopp is off and dont feel the urge to protect their spots in the team.

That's a relief. For some reason, having read your first line, I thought you'd be sawing bits off them to feed to each other.

Couple of weeks too late for that big man.

He can't moan at anyone, he was total garbage last night and one of our worst performers. Spent the entire game ****ing moaning and being bullied.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

If we stopped conceding first all the time and got a striker who could actually score we could make different subs and get less injuries.

Massive rebuild ahead for us I fear. Could take years.
                            Exactly.

I don't see a lack of spirit though, players kept pushing last night. End of first half we should have got one and then the game changes and it would be very different vibes.

It is what it is and now it's time to move on properly.

Yep. How many times have we conceded first this season? It genuinely feels like it happens every game.
