Once or twice, it's just luck.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostThey said last night was the 16th time in the PL this season
5 or 6 times and we've got dodgy defenders or bad pressing.
16 times. Unforgivable. 100% on management. Bashing your head against a brick wall expecting a different outcome each time. One tit for another.

It's the nature of the goals that we're conceding. Very rarely are we conceding worldie rockets hit from 30 yards.
It's generally individual mistakes or sloppy play that lead to us conceding.
Given how often it happens you'd think it would have been addressed in the training and if it has then why does it keep happening?

The way we are starting games for me is a big part of it, when was the last time we started a game with any real intensity? the goals we concede aren't as a result of attacking too aggressively and leaving gaps at the back which would be one thing, they are just from generally sloppiness or individual errors. It's the fact that first half performances and first 20-30mins tend to be dire and that has been the case all season. It's almost as though we don't start playing until we go behindThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The 2nd leg against Atalanta was far more positive. Why can't we start like that ever game?Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostThe way we are starting games for me is a big part of it, when was the last time we started a game with any real intensity? the goals we concede aren't as a result of attacking too aggressively and leaving gaps at the back which would be one thing, they are just from generally sloppiness or individual errors. I don't really think it is irrelevant it was a 2 legged tie in which we were 3-0 down from the first leg to have any chance we needed to start fast, it was a different situation to most games. I can understand why the urgency had to come quicker.Originally posted by DerKrampus View PostIrrelevant, we objectively started the game very strongly and my question remains - why can't we start like that every game?
At various times in Klopp's reign we have just almost randomly decided today we are going to go for it straight from the off in some PL games, I don't think we have seen that at all this season. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yes I know there's a reason we started fast but we shouldn't be making those kind of decisions, it should be who we are all the time, it's not we've never been that kind of team."We oil the jaws of the war machine and feed it with our babies."

We're slow as **** mate, every game is the same. The only one that showed any progression on the ball last night was Quansah. It's ****ing garbage, we used to destroy teams but we've played ponderous turgid ****e all season.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostThe way we are starting games for me is a big part of it, when was the last time we started a game with any real intensity? the goals we concede aren't as a result of attacking too aggressively and leaving gaps at the back which would be one thing, they are just from generally sloppiness or individual errors. Another thing I've noticed over the past few weeks is the real lack of movement going in our midfield and attack.
Countless times we've got it in defence and deep midfield - all those short passes between centrebacks, Macca, Endo or whoever and you're looking ahead and most of our other players are static or ambling around. Yes, you'll get one player moving into space - usually Diaz dropping deeper but our lack of movement up top is extremely worrying.
There's got to be a better way to play against a deep sitting team - particularly when you've only got one player that takes opponents on - that's Diaz but he just runs down blind alleys.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Mac Alister sitting deeper has taken some of our attack away plus he’s lost a bit of form.
Am I right in thinking we looked our best this season with Bradley at right back doing what Trent and Robertson used to do. He brought so much energy and genuine width to the team.
We’ve also lost our pressing ability. We don’t win the ball in the right areas anymore which is such a crucial part of breaking teams down and creating easier chances. That was such a vital part of the success the team had. I don’t think the front players press anything like the original three did.
