The PGMOL are pussies if they're offended by that.

If Slot had accused him of cheating or match fixing then fair ****s, but he didn't.

There needs to be a movement of laughing in the face of these soft ****s, like falling down if a player is brushed with a hand, or referees being selectively offended by the word '****'.

Watch players get hacked down when they put their body on the line to score a goal, they get straight up and celebrate. But a hand makes a fully grown elite athlete fall over.

    **** off.

Slot deserves a lot of credit, when we have to sit deep, boy are we good at it.

Great subs and changes like he had done so many times this season.

I was thinking that we got our practice in against Man City and then Slot mentions it too!

Yeah we were good but they had a lot of shots on target that a less inspired keeper wouldn't have kept out so we weren't amazing either.

Yep agreed - we were taken apart in that first half, don’t think that was the plan. We were a lot tighter in the second, so those tweaks helped but overall I don’t think Slot would be happy with how he set the team up, especially with a week’s rest beforehand

I can see him starting with 4 in midfield next week. We looked so much more controlled with Jones and then Endo on the pitch. They are bound to try to come at us hard and fast to try to quiet the crowd on Tuesday, just keeping the ball and snuffing out attacks further up the pitch will be important, so we don’t have to rely on another worldie from Ali.

I’d go with Gakpo and Mo up front, bring Darwin on at 60, Harv on 80 if Mo isn’t getting any joy.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Gakpo back would be huge. They don't know how else to play except go full tilt at teams, they are just so used to dominating team. Their pressing and intensity was impressive throughout the game and we really seemed to struggle in possession and couldn't keep hold of the ball for any sustained period... it was a bit weird and our midfield were non existent. Mac was involved but Szob and Grav really struggled imo. Jota and Mo were so isolated, Jota in particular works well in tight spaces and it was just not the game for him running around as he doesn't have the pace. It ll he interesting to see the approach at Anfield, different story at home on a European night. Reckon our intensity and game plan will be very different than the first leg.

Slots in game management has been so impressive this season, how he changes tactics if something isn't working and his substitutions this season have been brilliant. Although they did dominate us and we were lucky especially in that first half, our game plan seemed to be sit deep and break or long balls over the top which ultimately worked for us. We just didn't play well and really struggled with their pace and to control the games like we usually do. They are an excellent side, actually a good unit these days and many of our fans under estimated them, we should expect a really tough game.

I can’t see Liverpool being as bad with the ball again, well hopefully not anyway. That alone would make a huge difference as we’d be able to keep the ball for longer periods and take that pressure off. But their press was relentless and everything they did was spot on apart from the goal. Will they play that well again and will Liverpool be that bad with the ball? Who knows but a slight change each way makes it different as had the ball control and a final pass been better Liverpool could have had a few more opportunities to score on the break.

Arne will surely analyse the hell out of last night's match so it seems unlikely to me that PSG will be able to do that to us again next week. Given the pace of their fullbacks I wonder if he will be tempted to start Darwin. He also seemed to win a few headers against their centre backs when we went long last night.
                    Never knowingly optimistic

Yup, that was the one thing that paid off albeit with a small sample. They aren't awful at the back but Nunez causes them a different problem and showed he can hold the ball up against them.

I be staggered if he doesn't start against them in the reverse.

Yeah in the lead up to the goal, Macca was on his bike looking for the flick on header from Nunez but then he controlled it before teeing up Harvey. I’d say that was the plan & could be in the 2nd leg.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

They're going to have to update that flag on the Kop when Arne leads us to number 20.
