Endo going off was the biggest issue. Was he injured? He didn’t look like he was too knackered.

Number one target a proper DM. Endo is great and happy for him to share the back up duties with Bajčetić for a season to let him develop.

Diaz has hit that point where he’s not going to get to the level we require. His old enough to be at his peak and doesn’t produce enough end product.

The base of a really good squad is there but some big decisions need to be made and as much as we all love Klopp it’s an area that’s he has not made those big calls enough.

Endo looked shattered near the end of the first half. I don't think he had all that good of a game, although he wasn't awful. He battles when he's around the ball but he's just not a shut-down-the-opposition type of player who will dominate - Villa were creating chances and getting into good positions when he was still on the pitch.

From what I saw, Elliott looked ok... but that was not for long. I think it will be interesting to see how Slot uses him, as he has a really good delivery and great vision.

Trent is so frustrating. So much talent, but his application is shocking. If he was as good as he thinks he is he’d be some player. Needs to remember you have to earn it every time you step on the pitch.

The balance of the midfield isn't right, we need another DM, but also we don't have the options to see out games last night we brought Jones Gravenberch and Szoboszlai on after 75 mins 3 mids who aren't exactly defensive minded. A year or two back at 3-1 up away from home with 75mins gone we'd be bringing Milner on to see out the game, and probably do so successfully

Macca made a mistake but it must be very difficult to switch positions like that when you're that deep in the game and knackered. That first touch has to be spot on every single time when you're facing your goal and you're 30 yards out.
