He's actually very good with both feet as well, he walloped a few left footers last night and he was unlucky as well.

I fully expect him to get minutes , possibly off the bench on Saturday with Hugo out suspended

Very versatile player & he’d be a nightmare to defend against compared to players with who only shoot or pass with one foot.

Hes been good when he’s played this season so far.

It does still feel like it’s going to be hard for him to dislodge one of the front 3 but I’d like to see him be rotated with gakpo on the left a bit

I wonder if he could rotate with Salah instead, as I expect Gakpo to share the load on the left more with Hugo?

Post afcon maybe. Until then Salah will remain undroppable i presume.

It needs to happen but not sure it will.

I hoping not, and the reason we've not seen Salah rotated yet is cos we've just not put games to bed, and if you need a goal you don't take of a player who can score/assist out of nothing.

If we are 3 up and cruising at half time, then it would be interesting to see if Salah does get subbed.

If he could be consistent with these performances he could play a bigger role than any of us imagined. Delighted for him.

That is a valid point, though one could argue that Chiesa has shown that, for us, he is exactly that kind of player as well.

Really strong game last night. Proving that he deserves more game time. Hes such a good and confident shooter. Perhaps not yet a PL starter but he should start getting the 55-60 min gig rather than the 80 ish min gig.

That's the most like the Chiesa of old I've seen him. Crazy to think he won't even make the bench most games.

I thought he was excellent - one of the best performers in a pretty abject first half, and lifted again in the second as Liverpool went up a level

He played across the front three and was still running and hammering into challenges at the end of the match. His workrate was a lot better than what I've seen from him before

Trying not to get carried away as it was against a team at the bottom of the Championship, but that was the best performance I've seen from him

Surely a performance like that puts him back on the bench at least, I know it's a different position but the injury to Leoni likely opens up a spot as well
