Even if we do sign Isak he may stay until January as it's been suggested Isak won't play until after the September international break.

Imagine if Chiesa wasn't on the bench last night? Who are we bringing on the score goals?
Rio on the left & Cody down the middle I’d imagine. But yeah I can see a role for Chiesa even if Isak is signed. He can cover all 3 forward positions.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Very smart from Chiesa to hold his position and not rush in to try and get involved. Konate was in there and took the chance to hold back and hope the ball didn’t get cleared properly and finished it off beautifully.

I’m getting Shakiri 2019 vibes from Fede. I sincerely hope he stays.

The mad thing is... if... he got fit and sharp he might well be our best forward. The guy is class.

The fact he's getting those minutes means he must have progressed his fitness a lot.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He definitely has one of the best knee slides.

In reality I am not sure that he can play 90mins for us. The requirements re the intensity might be beyond Chiesa

                However.

If you need a guy to change a game, then Fed might be the golden ticket. Just like in the carabao final last year, he has proved that he doesn't **** the bed.

                I think he is class

Fully agree. I don’t think he has got enough credit for that finish against Bournemouth. The ball fell to him too high and a bit too far to his left but he had the technique to be able to finish.
                  Never knowingly optimistic

Yeah that was great technique & fortunately Konate didn’t step backwards & block the shot

With the game he had I'm surprised he didn't

He's not going to be playing 90mins, but could do a job as a super sub. Memzey made Shaqiri comparison, from 2019 that type of role/impact is maybe what we should be considering/hoping for
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I hate knee slides, they're so dull and predictable.

I agree, a couple of firm handshakes should suffice.

They're far too common, look at the plethora of inventive celebrations from the late Diogo Jota.

Exactly that. It wouldn’t have come as a shock to anyone watching the game
