Salah absolute stunk the joint out, again. Forget the superfans new obsession of hate (Dom), Salah is a real problem. He's abysmal with the ball now. But yeah, still scores his pens and tap ins so gets a free ride.
Hopefully Slot has the balls to drop him when he plays like that. He seems to chew out other players for ****ing up, but Mo keeps getting a pass. Hopefully changes soon.
Would love to see Chiesa out right one game with this first team (if Mo's ego could handle being dropped)

4 assists, 5 goals, only 1 of which was a pen and 0 were tap ins.
Yes he was poor, but the fact you're having to hyperbolize to support your opinion says alot.
Also if Dom is getting excessive criticism, then what's the sense in wanting to turn that on another player? Aside from Salah being your own obsession of hate.

He has 4 assists and 5 goals, but imagine if some other player was there who didnt misplace 9 out of 10 passes and miss so many shots. Those numbers could be much higher.

Im being facetious with the term tap-in. They're aren't hard goals to score though are they.
Ipswich - toe pokes the ball in after getting a deflection fall right to him 6yds out.
Brentford - played through on goal and slots in from inside the box
Mancs - played through with acres of room to finish
Westham - taps home a rebound
Wolves - a penalty
He can barely shoot anymore, but keeps trying to go for goals he used to get, only goals he scores now though are ones that are harder to miss than score. And he puts it down the keepers throat a lot.
Its not about turning criticism onto any one particular player, Dom gets pelters for not passing to teammates or ****ing up attacks. Mo does this over and over again through games and many have their heads in the sand and start having a cry the moment anyone has a pop at him."He still scored!" , "5 goals 4 assists". Yeah thats great. he'd be completely ****ing useless if he didnt. Ask Juve fans what they thought of Ronaldo scoring 30+ a season and completely ****ing their team up. Goals aren't everything
Contrary to popular belief, i don't hate Mo at all. He's a club legend. I just think his best is well past him and get annoyed how many turn a blind eye to his awful performances because he happens to pop up at the right time at the end of a game to get his customary easy goal. He shouldn't be starting every single game for us IMO. Crazy opinion - it might actually help him play better by not playing so much. He's fit, no doubt, but he's also getting old, like it or not and his pace is rapidly declining. Used to skin LB's for fun, now im pleasantly surprised when he can go past one.

It isn't a case of one player has to be the ****test. Only two or three played well yesterday.
Salah has been good this season as the numbers suggest, yet if he'd have been hooked at half time he'd only have himself to blame.
Szoboszlai has been poor the second half of last season and most of this. Curtis when he gets up to speed following injury may take his place.
Has Dom really been that poor this season though? What metrics are people basing his version of poor on? Sure, he's hit some lazy passes but so have many others. Trents been poor if thats the case. Salah abysmal.
He runs his ****ing guts out all game non-stop. I don't think people actually appreciate what that takes because youre all fat cunts watching a game on the tv.

Oi. I resemble that remark.
I can't speak for everyone else but I've no problem with his work off the ball but he's got to be better on it. Far better. And yes, Trent was poor yesterday but again looking through a wider lens, you can forgive the odd bad performance if his overall form is good.

I disagree that all those goals are as easy as you make out. Not having the Juventus Ronaldo comparison either. Goals have never been the the sole sum of Salah’s contribution. Salah does and and always has got stuck into team responsibilities in terms of off the ball work, defensive actions, build up etc, on top of his goals and assists contributions.
Fair to say he’s not peak Salah any more and he is losing aspects of his game to some degree. But even with flaws and patchy form, he still continues to make a big contribution to the team and remains our most consistent source of G/A output.
He is at a stage where he needs to not be starting every game, playing every minute though. Hopefully Chiesa’s arrival will allow us to reduce his playing load and help get the best out of him when he is on the pitch.
FWIW I thought Chiesa looked miles off where we need him to be fitness and positional, the difference when Salah came on (and was excellent) v West Ham was massive. Understandable, from Chiesa’s POV he will need a lot of time and I’m sure he will get there.
I also think Doms energy and pressing is vastly under appreciated. But, he also needs to improve his quality at times in possession.
Whether playing well (it does happen!) or poorly, Salah is always creative and always an out ball. Nobody okayed all that well in forward positions yesterday.

I was/am very excited about Chiesa but yeah he looks like hell take a fair amount of work to get up to PL level. I think the physical side of things will require some effort.
But yeah, we have obvious solutions to Szoboszlai but it's not like Salah is keeping Rodrygo on the bench.
