We had a 4 on 2 with Nunez on the ball and he opted for a shot from a relatively poor position and ****ed it up. If you're going to take the greedy option, you've got to make the keeper work. You can't seriously take issue with me saying it was crap.

He slipped when hitting it and didn't get a clean connection. Diaz was just lucky the rebound came to him.

It is but keeper is right there though would have been an easy save in fairness. He slips when he hits it, so it's not a great connection at all hence it being a roller. It's all good it came to Diaz but I was shouting ffs Nunez at the tv for a split second until it rebounded to Diaz.

And that is the genius in what Darwin did.

He knew he could not play a clean pass to Diaz so he worked out the angles, used his trigonometry background and then aimed at the defender so he could hit him in just the right place so the ball would go to Diaz.


Is as obvious a planned assist as one could ever hope to see.
