The storm saved me from exactly that last night. Had a night in playing bass rather than being used as a pack horse around Cork city centre.
Of course this morning had almost two hours worth of removing/cutting branches, debris, various stuff that I know is not mine and someone's wheelie bin.
The wheelie bin being stuck in a bush about four feet off the ground was an impressive feat by mother nature as it was not my wheelie bin or that of my Ukrainians and as I don't have a next door neighbour close by so the bin came travelled some distance no matter where it came from. Not gotten it out of the bush yet so have not checked if there is a company name or a user address on it.
Less impressive is the fact I have a mature tree down that, after a look at it earlier, might well require a professional level of removal and not just me and the trusty chainsawI don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I think this postponement is a stroke of luck for us. Depends, of course, on what the injury and fixture situation is when it’s rescheduled for but that’s unlikely to be just after three of our toughest games of the season back to back and with several of our first team out or just returning. Good times. It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

No idea where that deadbeat is. She met him twice in her 28 years on this planet and that was more than enough for her.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The wheelie bin is out of the bush. Tied rope to the handle and gave it a good yank.
It belongs to a house the bones of a mile from me. Am assuming it got blown along the road over the course of the night and then when it got near my place the wind caught it at just the right angle to get it into the bush.
Given it is a country road it was probably a potentially lethal threat to any motorist as it made it's way from it's house to mine so small blessings and all that.
Rang the owner and they are going to have someone collect it later on.
Heading out the back in a bit to make a final decision of the tree that came down. Is a full grown sycamore tree so probably in the ball park of 80 foot tall with a similar sized crown width so a lot of wood there for me and Chainey to try and get through. I could most likely strip the branches over the course of a day or two but the trunk and now exposed roots are probably beyond Chainey's capabilities unless I get really creative with my cutting. Lot of exposed earth as well that came up wth the roots.
Might ask the farm next door if they want at it and tell them they can keep all the wood for stoves or whatever. Failing that it may be down the route of having to get a company out for it unless I can find someone else that wants the wood and will go at it with the tree itself being the payment.
There are some guys that sell wood blocks and wood pellets in a public market space most weekends in a nearby (well nearby ish as it is a 10 to 15 min drive away) village so might ring a shop I go to in that village to ask if those guys are there today and then drive down to ask them if they want a wood windfall.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
