It's how we won it last time. Was like that pretty much all the way to extra time against Chelsea, with be the exception of the west ham game, when the big boys came on to smash them.

Think Slot made a mistake with the two half time subs. I get the reason with the defensive injuries but maybe 10 minutes for the two senior defenders to help settle the team back into the same rhythm would have helped. Having two midfielders in there didn’t help.

They ended up trying to pass around the back and forgot they still needed to go forwards and would be better keeping the ball in the other half like the first half.

But a good run out for some of the players. Chiesa had some good moments, Nunez got a goal and Elliot played well and scored. Jota with more minutes and some experience for the youngsters. The manager will have learnt a bit more about some of the players in an actual game.

I know we appear to be in pretty good form, but I'm getting a little worried about a few things. Little rotation (which last season, I would have been happy about), then subs in who aren't wholly ready, increasing defensive injuries and goals conceded.. We're obviously in better shape than last season, but if Slot is going to make a difference, we have to still be pushing hard in February. Touch and go for me at the moment.
